Teams combatted the one two through sitting deeper but that brings them other problems. Finishing was the issue more than creating chances and that was spread throughout the midfield with Longstaff, Willick and Joe all missing too many sitters. Obviously we're still going to be miles off Man City but this squad, plua another season of experience for Botman/Isak/Bruno, plus RCB, RW and LB and we're not far off a top-four quality squad imo.
