loki679
I want Bakayoko based on nothing more than Ibrahim Bakayoko being an absolute legend for me on championship manager back in the day.
kingxlnc
Mbuemo and Roony Bardjhi - would like both - proper upgrade the position as Mbuemo could also cover for Isak upfront, Roony could do the Lewis Hall role Dibling would be good with a Semenyo type - Semenyo is already there, Dibling would develop and eventually replace
buzza
Think dibling is more probable in january given southamptons current state. Murph is playing well at the moment so we could slowly introduce him...
Sibierski
Dibling is that good, I'd be happy for us to sign him and loan back to end of season to get a better deal if needed.
jack j
My Jan prediction is none in and Trippier and maybes one other out

He'd cost a lot of doubloons.

That’s actually a very good idea, would help Southampton play ball.

Or maybe if PSR is tight agree to a sale to take place on 1st July? A second £70 million loss year will have dropped off our books then.

NSG
A sale and loan back would be a good option like. Would secure us a really exciting prospect for not much impact on 24/25 finances and would give them some money to spend on a couple of players to try to stay up. PauloGeordio
Would love it if we got Dibling. Exciting prospect.
alexf
Is Murphy playing well for 3 games really enough for us to presume he can keep this up until the end of the season though? I was under the impression we were pretty desperate for right winger. So surprised people would be willing to loan back if we managed to sign that kid. Think would be naive to assume Murphy will be able to keep up this form just based on his last few games. Not to mention the need for rotation also even if he did. If so, previous years losses will not longer count

Form and delivery is what's needed...he's doing exactly that. Would be great if he could be relied on to do it for 10/15 games in a row

However it works. Anyway, it's assuming we want him, they're willing to sell, we can agree a fee, he wants to come here, no-one else he'd rather go to bids as well. STM
I'm leaning towards it being unlikely that we make any moves, unless we make a sale or two.
Jewel
I don’t think we’ll get anybody in January, and I’m fine with that if it means we can afford to go bigger in the summer.

What if we missed out on Europe only by a point or something because we didn't strengthen and that then led to losing Isak or others in the summer? As the expression goes "sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate" yeah it could leave us at risk of a sale or points deduction if it goes tits up, or we could see this season as a massive opportunity to capitalise on how tight the Ieague is and try and snatch 5th. Think the first team has been a little stale for awhile. I think even just one fresh face at first team or close to level would be a nice boost going into the remainder of the season. I would hope the club are looking to move on dead weight and free up funds for atleast that personally.
mondonewc
Mentioned it already a few pages back, but not bringing in a Striker in January will almost certainly come back to bite us. Who would be a viable option I've no idea, hopefully Eddie and co realise it's a must and are working on it.
cubaricho
We need a new player or two to liven up the squad and introduce some new energy around the place as much as we need them actually on the pitch, to be honest.
Crimson Cardigan
No signings without sales according to Howe for the last few pressers. Waugh says Longstaff is likely to go but who’s bidding? Kind of seems like we’d need to get rid of two fringers to buy a first team ready player.
Pablo123
I think we'll sign Bakayoko. Don't see Longstaff leaving personally.
