NUFC Transfer Rumours

That's great on paper but we need willing buyers. It's not as easy as it is on FM.

I agree about willing buyers and this is where the Guehi "bid" does not make sense. How could we bid for a player knowing we would then have to sell without a buyer lined up? If we did have a buyer lined up then we should have sold that player.

Only thing I can think of is that there's now an understanding in the PL that clubs with PSR troubles will trade amongst themselves to get out of trouble in future.

It has to be more complicated than just having to sell a player. For example finishing 4th and reaching a cup final means millions in extra prize money, probably prevents any sale. I think a big reason for the issues last season is the club had expected to get further in the CL/Europe, but this season a lot more of the revenue e.g. sponsorship is locked in rather than variable.

But overall These are calculated risks the club has to take.

An "economic lever" [emoji38]

They're just fucking cheating man, amazing how some clubs 'exploit financial loopholes' or 'benefitting from intra-group transfers' or shit like that but when it's us it's cheating and financial doping etc. The double standards in play are absurd man

It will catch up with them, they’ve sold off so many revenue streams in a few years they’ll be penniless.

The mad bit is they waste everything they earn. All their talent is from the academy. Imagine selling the family silver to get Aubameyang etc

If we sell Isak and bring in Calvert-Lewin I might just give up. It's a totally Newcastle thing to do and I'll be fkn raging. I mean, apo fkn plectic.

Personally I’m more worried about being fingered in the ass by ET.

Elanga continues to be shit I see.

Only just turned 22 this year too, but you know these type of wingers always get disparaged. Until they really hit the heights numbers wise, as was the case with Mbeumo.

But hey ... at least our club didn't sell him for £15 million only to then replace him with a £90 million Antony

You can't have supported Newcastle for long if you think it's not a possibility. It screams us all day long.

What about this current ownership tells you they're building towards selling our best player for big money and replacing him with someone comparitively cheap and much worse?

They've hoyed every spare pound they can at the squad. A bit of pessimism is fine but not when it makes zero sense.

Yes, if we sold Isak (IF - I don't think we want to or intend to, or that he is pushing to go) then we'd bring in someone fantastic. Probably a couple of players.

Why, obviously Calvert-Lewin and Scott Mctominay of course (although Mcdominate is putting in a decent shift at Napoli I see).
