Would you want us to sell Isak?

Either that or we banked on Bruno leaving in the summer for £100m. Wonder if the still think the model is on its last legs and just doing it's best to keep it's main players and at any cost. If not, we're selling in the summer. Most likely isak. My guess is that they thought the "related party deals" thing would be defeated. Which it kind of was by City but has seemingly still been resurrected with pundits suggesting its necessary "because Newcastle". There are also still loopholes in PSR, like sell yourself a hotel or a women's team, or use the multiclub model. Maybe thats what is driving the Santos thing. Whatever all the specifics are, I would readily forgive our owners for buying the club without realizing how much resistance there would be to them putting money in. I'm not saying that or anything about us, I'm just saying they are seriously going for it with their singings / targets this month, whilst they are still within distance of CL in the league and entering the knockouts in the CL. Their business seems strange when you consider their FFP position / apparent wages / revenue percentage, but they clearly think it's worth the gamble for CL money and glory

With likes of Man Utd / Milan / Juve currently not looking like qualifying, won’t be surprise if the push for next UCL reform is for clubs who don’t qualify via league/holders, qualify based on historic co-efficient, so those sides are protected to keep getting that UCL money. He was a key player for them, if they sold him, obviously they would have to replace him.

Looking at Disasi etc Seems very much like they're bolstering their attack ahead of an impressive CL campaign and whilst they still have a chance to make top 5 in the league. Not just replacing Duran, and he wasn't anywhere near as key for them as Isak is to us, since you mentioned Isak previously Your first reply suggests you think I was comparing their approach this window to ours, and that for us to do similar we'd need to sell Isak. I made no comparison at all to us. I just said fair to them making a right go of it Having said that, I do wish there was 1 decent attacking loan option we could have made from abroad somewhere
The Prophet
Villa's business is very punty. Relatively risk-free short terms deals with a high upside. It makes a lot of sense in their position, with the demands of the Champions League.
