NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

With all these clubs that have more room to spend and that throw money around more freely, more and more of their young talent will be wanting out as there is no lane for them to get a fair shot in the first team.

It's something we should always be looking to exploit, provided the fees make sense and are not outrageous.

Especially because Howe has shown time and time again he is so good at bringing these players along and getting them to perform at a high level.

And they must see that which makes us a draw for them (those that aren’t just about the money)

That's the key part for sure.

Don't think that's clear yet.

Young and English with some experience , so likely around what we paid for the likes of Gordon and Tino.

So around £40 million if I had to hazard a guess.

Anything more than that would be a joke.

I thought it was quoted 50 + million.

Akliouche

Akliouche is the one for me, his ceiling looks to be outrageously high, and he's a class player now as well

We can talk about Eddie progressing players and English talents which he does. The way he handled Hall is a great point and he was the best leftback in the league for me this season but we can't just focus on England as our best players at present are not English. Good n maybe in the top 4/5 along with hall but it's Isak, Bruno and Tonali for me the top 3.

Watched so much of him since we've been linked and I'm absolutely certain he's destined for the top.

My number 1 signing. This guy is sensational.

Very true, but we paid high end prices for them (well, not really Bruno), and even though they’ve proven more than worthy of those, we can’t really be shopping in that market more than very occasionally.

Eddie mentioned in his presser today that he had been monitoring Tino since his academy days.

If he has his sights set on Quansah, then go for it.

I think he is unplayable on his day and still has room for improvement.

He is definitely a good player, but has completely fallen off the second of the season. Bournemouth fans aren’t that keen on him either.

If it was a choice between Mbeumo and Semenyo it would be the former, I’d also go for the lad from Monaco though, or someone they’ve been scouting off the radar.

Think there’s a few candidates in Spain, France and Italy tenuously linked who could come in to play for the RW spot, if we need a striker also value for money will be important.

Suspect the big money will go on a proven right sided CB.

We should be aggressively pushing for them at 17 before they sign their first pro contracts, whilst we have clear pathways into first team.

Agreed! I've done similar since he 1st link, was a little bit of Dennis Wise to start, and was sold on him from that, but have since made sure I've watched a few full games he's played and he is a special talent. If he has the right mentality, as you say, he'll be a star

When the talent ID is stupidly high in English game, why shop elsewhere? Yea dip occasionally in Europe, but majority of deals should be on these players.

Shouldnt be overpriced players just because they are English.

Will always be a premium because the resale value is regularly high and top sides will always want good English players for the HG quota.

Scamacca was £30m rising to £35m for West Ham other season. So would also argue back that it’s just not English players that are overpriced.

Scamacca had some sort of success before that, 16 goals in Serie A. 30 million buys you someone like Eddie Nketiah...

Scamacca was overpriced in the end, but he at least is an Italy international.

Scamacca also had success after West Ham, leading the line in an Atalanta team that won the Europa League, scoring 19 goals in 44 games last saeson, which indicates he was easily worth that sort of fee West Ham paid. He just wasn't suited for a Moyes plagued West Ham.

Or it shows the difference in quality between the 2 leagues.

Aye, it's harder to score goals in Serie A than Premier League, so I guess West Ham got a bargain actually.

I forgot all about him. Does any team have as bad a record at buying strikers as West Ham?
