Not really. They are a CF away from being a very very good team and he’ll be paid what he demands and more with the security of an extra 4 years.

With CL qualification and more financial leeway I’d hope we can really beef up the team this summer and really take the team up another level.

Putting the Parish and Palace stuff aside, as well as likelihood. Who would people pick between Guehi (40m) and Huijsen (50m)? 
 

I think I would go for Guehi personally. Because he’s more experienced and is more of a leader. But most importantly I think he would stay long term and be committed for longer.

Aye, he's been really good again this season and if we can get him for around £40m it'd be a brilliant signing. Could be the starting CB for the next 7-8 years

Crystal Palace’s Guehi remains admired at centre-back, Burnley’s James Trafford has long been a goalkeeper target, while Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo are among the right wingers Newcastle have tracked, and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap is a striker they have closely followed. Significant due diligence has taken place on targets across multiple positions.
 

As for Longstaff, that situation is different. The 27-year-old has not started a league match since December 12 and he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract. Should Newcastle receive a decent offer for the midfielder, he is likely to go — the club exercised an extension in Longstaff’s present deal primarily to protect his value — should he choose to.
 

Willock and Barnes face uncertain futures. As far as I am aware, Newcastle have not been actively looking to move on either but, given sales will help facilitate the incomings required, should serious interest be shown in Willock or Barnes, there is a chance one or both could leave.

I’m an absolutely massive no to Elanga. Not convinced by Semenyo either (rather him than Elanga). Don’t see us in for either tbh.

He wouldn't be my first choice, but I think Elanga could be dangerous in an Eddie Howe team.

Would much rather have another quality midfielder than a keeper if it’s a choice between the two. I’m pretty certain we will sign another midfielder. We CANT go into next season with only three and Miley. I’m not even gonna count on Willock/Longstaff.

Total guesswork is it’ll be either Mbuemo or a signing from the compliment. Agree on Elanga, not really convinced by him.

He could be dangerous for us in some games when there’s lots of transitions . If we aim to go to the top we will have to get a different profile to him. To get to the next level we need to evolve and improve our in general play and be better in possession. Have more variety and be really good at many things. Elanga is a runner.

Our local journalist sometimes have knowledge on domestic targets but never get our foreign targets.

 

I really wouldn't pay much attention. Alot of it is 2+2=4. They may be right but probably through guessing.

Other way around for me.  Elanga is better than Semenyo.  I wouldn't want the latter here.
