There’s a level of hatred here that is genuinely unsettling.

I’m all for it. He’d also have some kind of shit mural on the wall - “Live, Laugh, Love” or similar shite.

If City pays 80% of the wage, he agrees to a haircut and signs a contract banning him from any interviews so I'm not exposed to how thick he is. Sure.

Given his recent form, to play regularly here, he would, ahem, have to pull his socks up.

Very very popular rumour that Grealish is basically a functioning alcoholic. There’s cheaper, hungrier players out there with less baggage out there imo. Fantastic on his day but he’s a bit of a circus.

Looked an absolute clip when out with Pickford, cheering against us incidentally the fucking cunt. Hardest of hard passes.

We are great at doing down our own players, he was a critical player for a team that finished 4th and 7th over the past two seasons. Yes he hasn’t played much since the turn of the year,  but that is due to their being a better option in Tonali, rather than Longstaff being utterly bobbins. He's a better player than many on here give him credit for, just much like Willock he no longer fits into the way we play and the club has outgrown him. He will go elsewhere and be a success, I’ve no doubt.

This 👍

Interesting that clip of Sandro, when asked "who's the most underrated player you've played with (ever)"

Replies "Sean Longstaff"

Seems, to some, both Eddie Howe AND Sandro Tonali know jack shit 😂😂😂

Check out that Newcastle team that came in 4th. He was huge for us when we countered from a low block. But he got benched when our style changed.

We weren’t a counter attacking team at all when we finished 4th. We pressed more than we ever have under Howe.

He's a little slug.......a little slug with no personality

Whoa now. Check out a clip on YouTube where he’s the first guy in the Man City team who notices that a little girl in a presentation group is blind.

The best I’ve seen Grealish perform is when he was given a free role in the England team. Maybe he’s underused out wide.

Eddie has a knack of turning round careers and if he wants him, that’s good enough for me.

I wonder if Man City fans still think this involves a straight swap for Bruno.

The days of it being an honour to sell one of our top players are over, still think this hasn’t sunk in quite yet with other clubs fans.

Thought this was incredibly interesting.

So important to have a good recruitment team that is also brave, and digs deeper than the more surface and standard way of thinking about players.

Funny how he talked about Liverpool not having much competition for Salah because he was seen as having already failed at Chelsea, as clubs didn't look deeper into the situation and the context.

I always see this sort of thinking from a lot of fans as well, in how they write off players. Bit of an annoyance of mine.

The Grealish links are interesting.

We've also been linked with Eze and Cuhna. While different players, they all fit a profile that can play a creative role either behind the striker or in that left sided eight position. I wonder if that's something that we're looking at (or more likely it's lazy journalism).

Whoa, whoa and thrice whoa. I wasn’t on about Grealish man, I was on about @nufc123

@Fak teed up a bit of multi post jokey bantz that was heading towards a climatic punchline but nufc123 let it fall flat on its arse

Which just shows that an amateur will often stitch up a professional

Don't get me involved. You hate Grealish and everything he does for charity.

On loan with Citeh paying his wages? Yeah, ok.

I think the lad has come good from being a bit questionable in his earlier years. The full Jamie Tartt redemption cycle, if you will.

I hope it is something we are looking at.  As I feel the team lacks a bit of craft and guile.  Also because it would mean Isak scoring 50 a season

Hey, remember those Arsenal, Liverpool, and Spurs away matches? We totally countered from a low block then, Longstaff was a beast! Saying we *never* played a low-block counter-attacking style that season is just false. I can think of at least ten games where we did, and the stats back me up.

In games where we didn't have the ball, he was amazing, but against teams like Leeds, where we *did*, he was a real problem.

That's why I said he'd be killer on a counter-attacking team.

Look at Longstaff's good games for us. We usually didn't have the ball and we countered.

If he was 26/27 maybe but the guy is almost 30 now, how long does he potentially have left at the top level?
