Has there been a tier list of journalists relating to transfer rumours produced? I feel like Caulkin used to get the scoop, then Ornstein was pretty much nailed on.

 

Football Insider just seem to go scatter gun to fill their website - Aston Villa are signing that Espanyol keeper based on their report today to replace Martinez, but last week he was 100% coming to us.

 

The most credible link seems to be to Delap who Moyes confirmed in his press conference has spoke to Everton and then 3 or 4 other clubs (probably Man United, Chelsea and us) so far.

Hayden’s already been written off for PSR purposes, so it doesn’t really matter what happens with him does it?

Presumably we would have to pay up the whole contract to let him go, so it makes no difference either way.

I think we'd pretty much guarantee ourselves 3-4 seasons more at least of Murphy style figures given the players around him, plus a better all-round game. I think he'd be a hugely rewarding signing.

65daysofstatic should have the contract for all player showreels. He looks like a player and I agree that we should looking outside the box at this kind of player that screams of potential and value. Might be shite in the EPL but I'm up for taking risks.

Any loan he’s been on we’ll be receiving a portion of his salary from that club

Sick of hearing the same rumours, the value has gone now - we will hopefully have players of similar calibre on our radar to regurgitate/bed into the time.

As long as its in next seasons accounts it makes no odds at all whether we release or keep Hayden, it's one year wages in one year regardless.

 

Any payments due for us terminating would be the difference but that may be countered by a loyalty bonus if we keep him to the end.

 

Id guess we'd let him leave on a free of there was an offer but if not he'd stay on payroll and use the facilities to keep in some form of fitness
