I would prefer us to trust Nickson and Mitchell with finding some cheaper gems on the continent, than signing really expensive PL proven players.

I'd rather we look at doing both, given it's proven to be the best model of success and has worked so far.

Jesus, even a legit journalist calls him Mbuemo. If we signed him, would his thread be called Bryan Mbeumo or Bryan Mbuemo? It’s a real 50/50.

Think he should consider changing his name tbh. Mbuemo just rolls so much easier off the tongue.

Everton could be quite a smart move for him, yes he might start at Chelsea but there’s a high chance he gets lost in the churn.

Main risk of going to Everton is getting stuck there like Bowen at West Ham. PSR making it very difficult to move on at the right time.

I agree in a lot of ways, will get hammered for this but the day we got took over and we still had Bruce I genuinely said to my dad I’ll be delighted with either Howe, Moyes or Poche. I rate Moyes as a manager and think he’ll be playing most of the time. Obviously want him here but if he chooses them I get it.

we can take the piss out of Chelsea all we want like, but they’ve just finished 4th and are likely to win a European trophy albeit the most minor of them. They’ve ended up having a decent season and may have turned a corner.

That's less than the bare minimum they should have achieved. Neither should have been/be in doubt.

I understand the money side etc but who the fuck is advising these lads from a footballing perspective?

Signing for Chelsea is like agreeing to shag a robot.

Betis will be the first 'proper' team they've played in the tournament. They're a decent team so I disagree that they'll definitely win.

‘Another’ round. Sounds promising, doubt they would have a 2nd lot of talks if not seriously considering it.

I think 'another round of talks' just means talks with another club. I don't think we've spoken to him yet. That's how I interpret it anyway.

I did think that initially but there have been reports that we spoke to him last week too

I just hope we have a scouting team that have shown Eddie some out of the box thinking. Taking a chance by looking at players from the less popular leagues (and lower teams in the top leagues) that can be brought in for a lower fee with the view to turning them into excellent EPL players.

It's risky but could be very rewarding. There isn't much value shopping in the EPL. Maybe sign one or two from our own league, but have a look about Europe to see who's out there. Every great player has to start somewhere.

I'll also say it again as I think he's still got plenty to offer.

Brace yourselves.
