NUFC Transfer Rumours

It seems we are trying to accommodate Isak wanting to leave by shopping for lesser targets now. Just make him stay, we are not getting anyone good enough in the remainder of the window to make the sale worthwhile.

Aye the sale ship has gone. We are rolling around in panic mode, and Liverpool will under bid again. It wont be on our terms at all.

Rather accept Isak can throw a wobble all he wants, he’s here in September. Club will do more longer term damage selling him and panic buying some shite striker for a high price, then keeping him and needing to play Osula for first couple of games till he comes back round for one season.

Isak has to stay now.
Even if Ramos / Samu / Wissa come in - even if two of them come in.
Even if Mitrovic comes in.

He needs a Luis Suarez esque season to make up to us all this nonsense

Then he can go next summer

I think Jackson for £40m is a good deal, anything over and we’re getting done

40m is about bearable and obviously only as a rotation option. If Nicolas Jackson is the isak replacement are are cooked.

Jackson for under £60m & Wissa for £40m if we're getting the full amount we want for Isak wouldn't be too bad.

Be one or the other, no chance we do this then have neither of them available for a couple of months for Afcon.

I reckon we should just bite bullet and go get Watkins & Wissa, Get Ramos & Wissa, or tell Isak to stay and get Wissa, running out of options.

This being said it's nailed on we start with Gordon up top Vs Villa

I wouldn’t want that personally. I think it has to be one of the level of Jackson/Wissa and one of a higher level. Otherwise Isak has to stay.

He certainly shouldn’t be the Isak alternative. But I don’t think Jackson and Wissa works so it’s one or the other and both are overpriced significantly

Laughable link aside, is this really how PIF envisaged the Saudi Pro League? Are they really expecting to take viewers away for the top European leagues by signing nothing other than has-beens and cartel flops?

No. That's not what they're investing in their league for. It's to entertain their very young population.

Wissa with Jackson is a horrible idea yes. As is Watkins and Wissa.

I really think we are in deep shit tbh.

Just get Samu FFS.

Even if we could get someone like Ramos, all these deals are now going to be baked in desperation prices.

Wissa has to happen regardless, it’s an actual joke we haven’t gone back in for him. Like what’s the thinking? Sit around long enough Brentford come to us?

He's back training with them, apparently they said they will be more open to a sale once they've sorted a replacement out.

If Brentford aren't budging on the £50mil price I'm not sure what more we can do with it?

This post has made my day

Brill. We've just offered £15-20m more than that for someone who has a similar goal record in the Bundesliga as what Jackson has in La Liga & Premier League the last 3 years. Stick him in this team and I'd back him to get 20 league goals.

Please no to Jackson, this would be a really, really poor move.

Whenever we play them and he plays, or I watch Chelsea play, if it looks like a move is progressing and I see Jackson has what would be a potential goal scoring opportunity, rarely do I feel worried. Think that sums it up.

It was a sarcastic comment but I like your optimism. What do we do in January when Jackson and Wissa bugger off for 6 weeks?
