NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

It does feel very much panic stations at this point. We’ve barely shown a single element of scouting for the past two years. We’ve targeted a whole host of players that were unachievable and we wasted huge amounts of time on this without cottoning on. We clearly don’t have other alternatives that fit the brief of our signings from 2022 and 2023 so we’re hearing names being genuinely thrown about that make less and less sense. I’m shitting myself about the rest of this month now

Surely there are some shit-hot up and coming South Americans to spunk this kind of cash on? Considerably cheaper, probably. Do we even have a fucking scouting team?

They're normally gobbled up by chelsea city and Madrid.

We don't have many options left I'd say ramos or jacko would be our quality player.

I mean there must be. I’m not having that there are only 7 top class strikers in world football. Even if they somehow is the case Isak just can’t be allowed to go. Why are we contemplating spending minimum £60m on Jackson to facilitate Isak going?

unless we need the Isak money

I forgot to ask, is Jacobs reliable? Is he the one whose usually on the money with the London teams but clueless about anything else?

And yes, I know he's a gimp before you say it, but that wasn't my question.

He seems to have some link to Chelsea, has been accurate for Chelsea stuff this summer

I like how Eddie's kid nephew has become a convenient proxy for people who can't bring themselves to criticize the man himself to take out their frustration on.

For all we know he's nothing more than a junior scout.

I struggle to criticise any of them. They're all out of their depth, but they've been put in a position they never should have been put in.

I agree, I don't know how good Andy Howe is at his job, but I do know that it's not reasonable to have the entire recruiting team be four dudes, with one of them being the full-time manager.

I’m all for Jackson, if Howe thinks he’s the one, fair enough. I firmly back him to get a tune out of anyone. But 80 million fucking quid?

we want shooting with shit.

See this if Howe thinks he’s the one line. Doesn’t really work when he’s the 8th choice striker

If we were going for a striker from Premier League I would go for Evanilson..May as well spend 60 million on him than Jackson. Brazil international now too so  would know Bruno/Joelinton

Is that the Bournemouth lad? If it is he seems injury prone.

I agree but I’m not sure if Isak was first choice, burn, nor Elanga. Sometimes it pans out that way.

8th is a different kettle of fish, mind, I agree there.

if we pay £80m for Jackson we’ve officially lost it.

To be fair to Jackson, he’s been linked with us, Villa, Milan, A. Madrid, Man Utd and Barcelona. Ornstein mentioned that he has good numbers and is seen more favourably by clubs than fans.

It's effectively two glorified scouts and the manager, with support from two directors

Realistically as an Isak replacement it’s gonna be Jackson, Ramos or Watkins and somehow we are going for the worst one. Bet Chelsea can’t believe their luck. Mind PIF love doing them favours

Loving the pre-cursor comments for "Eddie Out" again come November/December.:suicide:

Never. Not for me pal. He's worked wonders with this squad with little-to-no reinforcements. We've got a cup and UCL which realistically does not happen without him.

The recruitment is not on him. Worst you could throw at him is that he's a little tied into PL-proven sometimes but that's it.

If you're just having us on then my mistake [emoji38]

To be fair, Ekitike and Sesko were probably a step up from Pedro, so you never know.

id be happy buying Jackson as a project player- a Wilson replacement. As our main striker when the rat goes is just not worth thinking about

This window should grant him immunity for the whole season. An extra 8 CL games, a stronger overall PL with all cartel teams addressing their weak spots and we're going into the season with a wafer thin squad and without Isak, or at best, an Isak whose downed tools counting down the days until he can join Liverpool.

The club has handed Eddie Howe a lump of coal and toothpick and asked him to carve a statue with it
