Why does it take so long to put bids in? A month and a half and Wissa’s availability is a mystery. Is it because all the communication is through agents rather than club to club? Have you ever bought anything of high value that wasn't at a fixed price and has a seller, more than one potential buyer and also various intermediaries all involved. And all of those people have a range of conflicting wants and emotions Moving house is probably the nearest most people get to experiencing what a football transfer is like. And it's usually a very difficult and drawn out process with a fuckload of twists and turns along the way Edited August 21, 2025 by bobbydazzla

Loads of ways that deadlines can be a factor in house buying As an example, when I bought my house the vendors were pissing about taking ages to find somewhere to move to and our buyer was getting twitchy about the delays, so we had to give our vendors a deadline and say that if they weren't sorted by X date then the chain would collapse and they'd lose the sale and have to start again. They got their arses into gear toot suite I really wanted the house, but I also was sick of them pissing about so had to put it on the line to get shit done and see how serious they really were about selling Edited August 21, 2025 by bobbydazzla
sugoinufc
Regarding Isak and new striker(s) we have no f...... clue! Mad situation! I have no idea what i hope for anymore? I would like Wissa but not for silly money and would like Aghehowa but he is injured and probably its unrealistic anyway.
Coffee_Johnny
Tenuous… but an rumour nonetheless; alternative Wilson replacement? “Goal.com has indicated that Newcastle United may be interested in acquiring Inter's 20-year-old Italian striker, Francesco Pio Esposito. The potential for Newcastle to make a bid for Esposito is contingent upon Alexander Isak's possible departure to Liverpool. The Merseyside club is said to be intensifying efforts to secure Isak with a substantial £130 million offer, following an earlier £110 million bid that was turned down this summer. Should Isak's transfer to Liverpool come to fruition, Newcastle might consider utilizing the funds to pursue Esposito, given Inter's previous rejection of a €45 million offer for the player. Esposito's contract with Inter extends until June 2030, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €25 million.” Also: https://sportwitness.co.uk/newcastle-united-make-attempt-for-young-striker-situation-could-be-linked-to-fulham/ Edited August 21, 2025 by Coffee_Johnny

Emotic
Pio Esposito doesn't seem like an Eddieball player. He's like Hojlund at Atalanta, or Evan Ferguson at Brighton. An old-school heavyset centre-forward. Be useful for Fulham if they sell us Muniz.
