gbandit
Can honestly say I’ve barely ever watched him play so have no take on this other than I think the deal will be a lot easier to do than Wissa

PauloGeordio
Buy this fella, loan Jackson. Sorted (Isak will play once window closes and fitness is there). Edited August 21, 2025 by PauloGeordio

ponsaelius
I fully trust Eddie and the clubs judgement with players as they have rarely got it wrong, and I do genuinely get why they want to overpay a bit for PL players rather than gamble on imports, but Strand Larsen for £60 million+ really tests my faith I have to say Also can't see it happening at that price without Isak going. JoeyBartoon
61 career goals – basically a goal every 4 games – doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. To me, £60m sounds like horrendous business, so it’s no surprise Wolves are tempted.

Jaqen
Jackson has went from looking overpriced to the best value striker available pretty quickly.

And he wasn't on pens. It's not bad! An upgrade on Wilson for sure! Seems to me the goal is to consolidate as strong a position in the Premier League as possible. I think we are going to go about this by pushing for both Strand Larsen and Wissa. Both were very capable premier League performers last year, and are suited to how we play. In a better team for both, they should look even more of a threat. Based off of last season: Isak - 34 games, 23 goals, 6 assists Wilson - 18 games, 0 goals, 0 assists Wissa - 35 games, 19 goals, 4assists Strand Larsen - 35 games, 14 goals, 4 assists *Penalties - Isak=4, Strand Larsen=0, Wissa=0. Think the signings will get downplayed by both Newcastle fans and otherwise, but once the season gets rolling and the production starts coming in, all that noise will fade away very quickly. catlover24
Just deduct 40 weeks of Isak wages and it’ll be £5m. Easy.

andycap
Doesn't matter who we are linked with there shite to hear some of you. 😂 We need a striker if that's the fella the club have decided to take a chance on then so be it. Puts us in a healthier position while waiting on other striker targets to come about near deadline day.
r0cafella
He did well last season but I'm not sure he's a 25 goal per season guy which is essentially what we need. If not we are gambling on Gordon, Elanga and the Cms increasing output tremendously.
