They buttering us up to take tino like?

Would be another shift in ethos if we did Howe has very much said on record he doesnt like loans as its seen as developing a player over one of your own that's not yours.

If our development players can make it then fare enough. If they’re not ready then a loan would do as a stop gap.

Fuck would I want a loan unless the option to buy.

Because we blew our entire attacking budget last summer I would guess. Can't see it being any other than a loan to buy though

I dont know enough about him to know if he's better than what we have and developed enough or of a good enough quality to make a difference.

I understand both your point and Howes historic thoughts on it. Loans to me pad out squads with big holes in their squad or a need in the squad that budgets can't stretch to.

If we were using loans going forward under the right circumstances l am definitely not against it. Loan with an option preferred.

Hang on bellend, I was making a legitimate point - we spent over £170m last summer on attacking players that didn't work out, so we still need more. If we want to sign someone else to bolster our attacking lines but we need our current budget for elsewhere in the team, wouldn't a loan for a promising young attacker make more sense now?

In answer to your question, no. But I do get tired of hypersensitive pricks on here who can't view anything about the club objectively.

I'd be shocked if we went for a CB this summer.

It would require one of Botman, Thiaw, or Burn to leave. Botman only just signed a new deal, Thiaw had a very strong first season, and Burn is finishing his career here most likely.

As for Munoz, I get the Craig Bellamy comparisons, but I also saw Ryan Fraser

After reading some dispatches and seeing the players we're after, it looks like Eddie is going back to the well for another heavy metal, high press, group of players.

As I thought I’d be amazed if it’s anything other than a loan. He’s very highly rated at Arsenal

He’s got a pretty crazy amount of competition at Arsenal though. And with the exception of Odegaard, all fairly young.

The emergence of Dowman might be what convinced them to cash in.

Good, no more of this nu-metal shite.

Give me some of that fast flowing, high pressing heavy metal football please.

Enjoyed this in fairness, credit to you for embracing yourself and your relentless attempts to view everything in the worst light possible

I want to reserve judgement until I see us in pre-season before I commit to my theory.

That said, my only concern right now is that the Premier League has changed a lot. The top 10-12 teams are basically the Monstars from Space Jam.

Must admit I went against my policy and watched a video of this kid despite there being no evidence we are anywhere close to signing him. I can see why Howe would like him, very direct and Anthony Gordon-ish.

He reminds me of Bellamy.

Those were the comparisons which made me watch the video.

I found them a bit worrying for a wide man tbh, I always thought of Bellamy as more of a striker who pulled wide, but Munoz does look a bit more of a natural dribbler so I think it would work.

I like all our wing targets. Munoz, Pardo, Abde.

Never heard of any of them, I miss the days of chasing players I knew like Elanga, Wissa and Strand Larsen

I just mean his stature and running style as opposed to anything else.
