In my opinion, those are the missing links from the first 11 that will have us competing for the title, let alone 4th / 5th. Right. I guess i am wondering whether a signing like Dibling would work considering Eddie might want to be slow about giving him starts. I think this kind of signing (like Tino and Hall) would normally be perfect for us but not if Murphy collapses or gets injured.

There are a ton of young foreign players that have failed at clubs like man u or chelsea, which have turned out great. Those clubs treat them horribly. I agree basically but I would never post it
andycap
The problem I have with Antony is he would frustrate just like miggy with his cut in shot routine instead of find a man if its the best option.

At least Obertan had that one purple patch of a few games in Pardew's last season (was literally about 3/4 game run where he suddenly seemed decent). Put's him one decent run ahead of Antony. Obertan FFS That's when I still had my season ticket! I know what I saw! Bellamy was pretty much universally considered to be a useless awkward cunt before he turned out to be fucking brilliant until souness’ legendary man management approach pissed on our collective chips. edit - in the interest of balance, he was an awkward cunt but was beautifully managed by SBR. There was a lot of doubt about putting that much money down for him after he'd had a flop first season in the Premier. There were doubts if he was just a championship player, although I think he spent most of his time in the top flight playing on the wing in that first season back. Sweee
a guimaraes-level signing for the midfield and then a RW prospect next summer would be the dream

Young, Brazil international RW that is used to high pressing systems and not on high wages. Man reds are desperate to sell as well. Be better off flushing that 20mil down the toilet. Ronson333
Loads were upset about our transfer business in the 2023 summer, but turns out Hall, Tino and Tonali have not only become a crucial quarter of our team but also have further to go. Might have took a year to get there, but the wait was worth it.

He was an underwhelming signing at the time. He had a bad season playing out of position for Coventry who got relegated, it didn’t take long for him to turn any doubters round. Much like Gordon in a way Edited 14 hours ago by gdm
