NUFC Transfer Rumours

Frustrating to see Man City suddenly wake up and sign everyone under the sun when we’re “keeping our powder dry” and worrying about losing our top players, like. I was expecting there to be an Oil State dick-measuring contest when we were bought. [emoji38] Now they’re able to get Khusanov and Marmoush and Vitor Reis whilst under charges?

Suggests they are confident of being found not guilty

Was never expecting much this window tbh

Probably won't see much in the summer with these daft rules either

Shite compared to the buzz of those first 3 or 4 transfer windows

Think someone will go in the summer just to get funds to fresh things up. Thinking it may be Barnes or Bruno

I’m starting to feel like not much will happen. January windows were always difficult but with these ridiculous PSR rules it’s pretty much killed the January window anyway. Unless there’s someone who suddenly becomes available it feels like it’s going to be difficult to do anything significant without putting us into a situation where we’re forced to sell before June 30th or whenever it is to avoid a points deduction.

I don’t think Barnes will sit on the bench forever and Bruno might well stay if we have champions league. That said if we won the league cup he might feel like “job done” and then move on.

They sold Alvarez for 85m in the summer without signing a replacement.

Can't see Edfie signing kelihier, he likes tall goalkeepers.

1" shorter than Dubs.

I really like him, but he's another who is gonna petrify us if a team pumps loads of crosses into the box (same with Trafford).

There are many examples of players who didn't get a proper chance at Chelsea, like Salah and de Bruyne, or if you prefer, Hall and Livramento. Their current star is someone who didn't get a chance at Man City. There are some great ex City players out there.

Antony is ex Man U, and has been given dozens of games without producing. There are not many examples of brilliant ex Man U players. Chelsea sign or train good players but don't make the most of them. Man U's recruitment and academy are nowhere near Chelsea's.

That's a good point. Chelsea are a lot more about carpet recruitment of young talent, so of course ends up with a lot of good players, which they don't use.

Recently, Elanga and Wan-Bissaka has shown they are still good players, despite not making it at Man U.

Oh wow ...

Love the sound of that. Think he'd work well in the current Howe team.

Slotting him in on that right side with Bruno would be very very dangerous, with Bruno's through balls and Malen's runs in behind and goal threat.

Would be another option upfront too, and would rather him up there than Gordon.

Do Villa buy right wingers like we buy left wingers? Seem to get a new one every 6 months.

Right? Seemed like Diaby did a IRL Grandma Simpson at the burlesque house

Diaby they miss. They got their money back straight away, but going to spend season after season (if not window after window) chasing someone to give what he gave, and in the end be worse off for it.

Not sure they miss Diaby that much tbh, he really didn't pull up many trees last season for me.

14 g/a isn’t a bad return tbh. They miss him more because their right hand side has been so poor this season.

I don't recall being impressed by him when I watched them. I also don't recall specifics but I presume he was sold due to sodding PSR?

However: The Magpies do not go all-in yet. As BILD learned, Newcastle has a different solution for the offensive on the fishing line. However, if this deal does not go through, Malen is the ideal substitute candidate.

I like the idea of our incoming right winger being hooked like some marlin off Robson Green’s Extreme Fishing.

Hope re-reporting that incoming are unlikely this month.

Another window of nothing would be incredibly tedious.
