Jonathan David is one of the most logical signings for us but I suppose a lot of clubs are thinking the same.

I think it’s the logical signing for Barcelona given he’s on a free

I assume you mean Nicola Kuhn?

Would be pretty disappointing if he is our marquee RW signing this summer.

Not to be too snobbish, but I'm always wary of signings from Scotland who tear it up for the likes of Celtic and Rangers. The jump in quality to the Premier League is immense. Van Dijk is the last one that I can remember who made the transition successfully.

Don't think anyone expects him to be 'marquee'. they're taking abut a fee of about £15m.

Surely we are after a marquee RW? Dont think Kuhn is anywhere near good enough.

Just seen Sporting are going to be asking £30 million for Trincao.

Think someone is going to get an incredible deal there if he moves.

Only 25 still but much more experienced and seasoned now, and has been so good at Sporting.

This is the kind of deal we should be looking at in order to really improve the team at great value, to allow us to make a number of other moves.

Saw a YouTube thumbnail linking us to him but I didn’t watch it. Fantastic player.

As if they can ask £100m

Surely that’s just something the chairman said while drunk.

That's entirely possible, I'd be drowning my sorrows all day every day if my team was threatening to break Derby's record

He had a purple patch but doesn't even look good enough for Celtic lately either. Dropped off massively

Gonna be like someone flicking rubber bands at us more than an assault.

The fact that they're talking about a potential part player swap doesn't bode well for their chances of affording him.

Especially looking at the players they're offering. Another example that they still look at us as Ashley's Newcastle. We'll take a couple of their rubbish players they want rid of for our best player. Come back to reality Liverpool.

I do love it when Journalists start talking about swap deals, I swear in the Premier League, it literally never happens

I'm more than OK with all lower clubs pricing their talent obscenely to fuck off the traditional top 4 clubs. Even if/when we become one of the elites, I'll still think it's fine.

Agree. His contract expires in June of 2026 too.

A few bits in here on potential targets.

We should just put something out at the beginning of the transfer window to ward off pathetic attempts - if your opening offer is anything less than £180m, don’t even bother.

Yeah, likely why the fee they are asking for is so decent.

There seems to be a lot of noise from the Liverpool end re Isak today. Fan appeasement exercise after a exiting two competitions and TAA leaving?

He will be going there to join up with Bellingham, Caicedo, Gordon and Zubimendi who they all signed previously.

Andy Robertson? John McGinn? Young Justin Devenny from Airdrie to Palace just off top of my head. There are plenty over the years Stuart Armstrong, Wanyama, Duncan Ferguson, Peter Lovenkrands etc etc.

also have players who went to Scotland on loan who went on to be class players. Tim Krul, Kasper Schmeichel, Longstaff, James Maddison.
