NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

We've got acknowledge and maybe accept that we are not considered a big enough club to attract the types of players we've been aiming for this window. We are in the CL and won a trophy but the pull is not strong enough. We had a good run post takeover when we could sell the potential of the project to Bruno, Botman, Isak, Tonali and the rest, but a few years in and it's apparent to players and agents that we are not the next PSG or Man City. We'd not be able to sign those types of players today, as is being proven on a weekly basis.

Root cause is a mixture of PSR and the lethargic way in which PIF run the club. Looking from the outside there is no sense of urgency or football knowledge or a desire to push the boundaries of PSR or challenge the status quo. Its all too passive. Nobody in PIF seems to love this project/investment or want to drive it forward. That's how it feels to me anyway at this point in the ownership.

Maybe we're going for a strikerless system? Just play all 4 wingers and have them swarm all over the place, hopefully not bumping into one another. There's definitely goals in that

It's not like we've been chasing superstars though. We've mostly gone for up and coming players who aren't quite there yet. It's just been our bad luck that most of the cartel clubs are struggling with their own strikers and are in the same market at the same time.

Which is why Amanda and Merhdad stepping back was the beginning of the slide, IMHO. They had the business acumen, plus a real palpable enthusiasm for the club.

It was as much their communication skills and visibility imo.

Maybe, but I don't think this necessarily has to be the case.

The new people employed in executive roles should have the acumen and the enthusiasm.

We have just made mistakes in key positions which has left this summer a mess.

from Pedro, to Ekitike, to Sesko with Delap in the mix and we are thinking of throwing £40m at Muniz. This summer was bad but we are actively going backwards from what we set out to do.

Get the feeling some would just be happy with any shiny new signing

you must be new here

they've been shaking their tail for DCL for over a year

and very recently argued that that Howe would transform Nicolas Jackson

no basura exists that wouldn't be rationalised on here
