Think it'll be Wissa and possibly another striker and that'll be our lot.

Feels like it'll be Jackson or Strand Larsen.

I agree or Wissa and Isak staying.

If we buy another midfielder + Ramsey you'd think Miley would leave.

Would prefer to give Miley a chance.

No I don't think so. I'd say it's more likely that Howe has no faith in Willock anymore and doesn't believe he can actually contribute this season. He'll be off next summer (If he's fit).

As far as I'm concerned we dropped two points yesterday because we didn't have a striker. That doesn't mean every striker is worth a fortune, but having a good one makes a massive difference so no surprise they fetch high prices.

For starters then sure.. But the guy hasn't been a regular starter in the PL over a long period. I get that it's difficult to get a replacement, though.

He’s an insane finisher. It’s really not.

You realise that Jimenez often starts ahead of him? An insane finisher with a fair value of 40-50m would be a nailed starter for them.. I think you are overrating him a bit. Leeds wouldn't be bidding for him if he was a key player for Fulham. They are not idiots.

The price tag is probably down to having to get a replacement and the inflation.

Where's Samu? He's the one we need, a goal scorer, didn't realise Chelsea had tried to sign him from Athletico for £35m prior to him going to Porto.

... not this Sammo btw

I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re looking a lot more closely at him and trying to decide if we’re comfortable spending big on him as the Isak replacement.

Of the remaining options, he seems like the most high upside option that might be able to develop into a top CF.

He’s also a massive risk, given how raw he is, and I don’t think they ever expected to get this far down the list of striker targets and maybe haven’t done as much work on him as they did on the others we were after.

Wissa & Jackson seems the best of the obvious combos. Not what I wanted but Jackson has the potential to be one of the best around.

Are there not loan options out there?

Jackson just looks thick as mince to me, his dodgy temperament and poor judgement could have him out more than in the match day squad.

If we don’t have a lot of prior data, 2 weeks is not a lot of time to do a deep dive on someone like Samu. But, if we get Wissa, we can take a risk with him. Even if we have to spend £60m or £70m, we can shift him later for slightly less if it doesn’t work out.

I mean, Chelsea bought Jackson for £32m and now might get £50m for him even though he’s underperformed their expectations. Young players are less risky than before. Someone is always willing to take a risk on them.

It would be exciting if we got a young striker to bed in along with Wissa.

I think its been said before, but having two strikers going to AFCON is daft. I really can't and hope this doesn't happen.

Aye I'm not fully confident with him to say the least [emoji38]

Forgot about Ramos, if he's interested then it seems a no brainer.

There’s solid arguments for why any potential Isak replacement is a no go.

Samu - ran around screaming that he’s staying where he is

Ramos - said he’s going nowhere this season

Jackson - AFCON

Strand Larsen, Mateta, Watkins - their clubs would be brain dead to sell them at this point in the window

Muniz - bang average

So what we're saying is Wissa is pretty much nailed on, so we want to steer clear of any striker that'll be off to AFCON, I'm thinking Ramos or Samu are the main options, unless we look further a field and take even more of a risk on a proven scorer from a lower league... all as soon as possible, eesh, what a mess.

If we can’t get a fee agreed for Wissa tomorrow then it’s time to go for Jackson IMO. That situation can’t drag on any longer.
