28 his year but other than that totally agree ūüĎćEven though done very little to impress in the last seven years, he certainly looked like he had everything as a young player at Man City.¬†

Aye, once mistakes start costing goals, games and points on a regular basis the previous good games go out of the window. It's absolutely true that when he walked in he was really good and a genuine asset to the team and the club. Now his performances have dipped so much that he's a hinderance and a genuine weak link. Not going to say playing him cost us European football as we'll never actually know that, but he was really really poor at times and we conceded far too many with him in goal. Frustration turns to anger and anger leads to hate. Hate leads to the dark side etc

The dubs hate is so weird here... We had a back line that was practically rolling the ball into our own net at times. The guy wasn't manuel neuer but he did what he could on zero notice/ramp-up after being thrust into the first team for 25 games.

Hope he has a nice twilight at Celtic if they end up giving us something (anything... really) for him

I have to agree. Sure he's stagnated the last year or so but overall, he's been here since 2018, he's been very good. There was a time when he was one of few shining lights in the tunnel and for several years he was one of our best players.

Player of the Year according to the North East Football Writers' Association in 2018. NUFC player of the season in 2019-20.

Now he's 35 and not all keepers are at their best in their late 30's. Hope he has a good Euro tournament although I suspect Slovakia will struggle.

Both the points are right.

6 years ago he was perfectly good enough and now he's a liability at this level and just turned in an awful season

Surely means they'd need to shift Raphinha though.

Yep, Barca badly need to sell (a decent few) to keep within financial allowances, bit similar to what is going on over here...

You can sign a player any day of the calendar. The window is just for official registrations and shit but doesnt stop you from buying them. Hes supposedly having his medical today and will obviously do all the photos/signing etc before Friday anyway

Thought I was going to beat you to it for once! But you remain king [emoji38]

Would love Ferran Torres for that right wing and as another option upfront.

If we get him for anywhere near that price that is exceptional business.

Doesn't he play on the left? How much left do we need?

Has actually played on the right as his primary position over his career.

Can play on the left too though and upfront.

Only just turned 24 too. Great age as well.

Last season he played nineteen times on the left, twelve on the right and eight times up front.

We'll miss this insight when you become a HGV driver.

Do we bid for a player now when hes getting ready for the Euros? Doubt it..

Probably eager to wrap it up beforehand.

Would be typical for him to have a great tournament and have Chelsea come steaming in.
