Kanj
Tino will have to compete with Reece James where I don’t see much competition for Hall as a proper natural left back for England. Wild is Tino has shown he can pocket the best wingers in the world when playing left back.

Lush Vlad
Yeah, I was going to say. As good as James is, he is never fit for a sustained period of time.
Skeletor
As long as Tino continues on the upward trajectory, its his spot in the long term.
Newcastle Fan Posted Wednesday at 20:57 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:57 Top class today, nothing got past him.
Weezertron Posted Wednesday at 21:01 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:01 Love his recent upturn in form. I hope he can replicate it at RB when Hall comes back. We'd be golden.

Ellis H Posted Wednesday at 21:04 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:04 Salah was as anonymous tonight as he was in the final. Reckon Tino might have broken him mentally and hopefully physically just before he signs a big, fat new contract with Liverpool.

He’s a quality left back - no doubt I just don’t know why it’s not quite clicked at RB - the Tino at Soton was fantastic
Lush Vlad Posted Wednesday at 21:08 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:08 Can Hall play right back? Seriously though. He looks much more comfortable on the ball and with his defending at left back. He is more useful going forward that side as well. I think he was MOTM until the last 5-10 minutes. I think he switched off a couple of times and they nearly punished us. I’m being harsh, mind he was still top quality.

Joelinton, Gordon and Barnes can all take the ball under pressure and Tino likes to give it and look for the return. No disrespect to Murphy, just not a strong part of his game. Means Tino plays with more confidence I reckon and that shows across all aspects of his game.
AyeDubbleYoo Posted Wednesday at 21:48 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:48 I don't think there's any reason Tino won't be just as good at RB. He's been immense these last few weeks, as has Trippier.
Kanj Posted yesterday at 01:34 Share Posted yesterday at 01:34 Think whatever mental block he had is now gone, sensational today.

No reason he shouldnt be, but the fact remain that he hasnt never really looked good at RB and has looked great at LB in most of the games he has played there for us. Its a weird one. janpawel Posted yesterday at 07:34 Share Posted yesterday at 07:34 His left footed deliveries have been amazing recently, better than his stronger foot on the right! Having Barnes helping his overlaps compared to Murphy will help mind
AJ9 Posted yesterday at 08:34 Share Posted yesterday at 08:34 He’s been absolute filth at left back. What a player
Gallowgate Toon Posted yesterday at 08:41 Share Posted yesterday at 08:41 Played some lovely, almost playmaker-style passes in the final third yesterday. Didn't know he had that in his locker.

gbandit Posted yesterday at 08:44 Share Posted yesterday at 08:44 I think he’s just as good at carrying the ball on the left or the right, and just as good at defending however, I do think his passing and crossing in the final third is better on the left
AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 09:03 Share Posted yesterday at 09:03 I’d like to think he’ll have learned from what he’s been doing and look just as good when he slots back in at RB.

One thing is for sure, he can definetly cover LB when needed.

Sorted the partnership brilliantly the last two games, though.
Weezertron
I got too high last night, just thinking how a 22 year old. Or even more extreme, Lewis Hall at 20. both just casually being mint in the prem. I was a fucking useless at that age. They're playing alongside blokes in their early 30s, who fully trust them. It's been such a long time since we had great young players, it trips me out.
