Tino will have to compete with Reece James where I don’t see much competition for Hall as a proper natural left back for England. Wild is Tino has shown he can pocket the best wingers in the world when playing left back.

In fairness James will just be injured so he basically doesn't have to compete.

Love his recent upturn in form. I hope he can replicate it at RB when Hall comes back. We'd be golden.

He’s a quality left back - no doubt

I just don’t know why it’s not quite clicked at RB - the Tino at Soton was fantastic

Can Hall play right back?

Seriously though. He looks much more comfortable on the ball and with his defending at left back. He is more useful going forward that side as well.

I think he was MOTM until the last 5-10 minutes. I think he switched off a couple of times and they nearly punished us.

I’m being harsh, mind he was still top quality.

Think it has a lot to do with who is playing in front of him.

Joelinton, Gordon and Barnes can all take the ball under pressure and Tino likes to give it and look for the return.

No disrespect to Murphy, just not a strong part of his game.

Means Tino plays with more confidence I reckon and that shows across all aspects of his game.

I don't think there's any reason Tino won't be just as good at RB. He's been immense these last few weeks, as has Trippier.

No reason he shouldnt be, but the fact remain that he hasnt never really looked good at RB and has looked great at LB in most of the games he has played there for us. Its a weird one.

His left footed deliveries have been amazing recently, better than his stronger foot on the right!

Having Barnes helping his overlaps compared to Murphy will help mind

Eddie's ploy in the away game to lull Liverpool into a false sense of security at RB.

He did play well at RB right after his arrival. I think it's probably just a bit of a coincidence. He will probably hit similar form at RB in the future. One thing is for sure, he can definetly cover LB when needed.

I was worried about this after the West Ham game, defended well but seemed to get in each others way when we attacked. Sorted the partnership brilliantly the last two games, though.

I got too high last night, just thinking how a 22 year old. Or even more extreme, Lewis Hall at 20. both just casually being mint in the prem. I was a fucking useless at that age. They're playing alongside blokes in their early 30s, who fully trust them.

It's been such a long time since we had great young players, it trips me out.
