Great place to be at the half. Not a great performance first half though, IMO. Don't really care today, as long as Newcastle win.

Still very nervy, but couldn't ask for much more from the first half, they've been rattled time and again, and while they have quality in attack, hopefully as the game goes on they'll tire and we'll pounce on their tiredness.

They still manage to attack us very well. Need to really dig in on their half, Trent is having major issues with Gordon's pace and it would be amazing if we can get another yellow on him.

We got sloppy in the last ten there but in the whole that was a fantastic half and we're well worth the lead. 

 

Liverpool can have zero complaints with the red, like. Absolute stone-waller.

 

Gordon, Bruno and Tonali have been excellent.

Gordon looks great, will get arnold sent off at some point, too much for him.

Big joe is a beast and ref is a bit biased against him.

Defence is solid.

Bruno still needs to step up a gear, still solid.

Miggy and Isak just need a bit of a spark, not a lot of ball getting to Isak tbh...

We did good but lacked concentration at the end.

Where does Burn keep going to let TAA in all the time?

Also Schar does not need to keep running from central defence when we are a goal up and a man up. He’s done it twice and both times has ended up losing the ball and we have struggled to get the danger clear when they hit us and he hasn’t got back.

We haven't been poor at all like. A bit wasteful with the ball on occasion, but not poor.

They can play with less shackles on as they have nothing to lose at this point. We need to match their energy to kill the game, not put our foot off the gas as we seemed to do. Trust Howe to sort it in HT talk.

We just need to keep giving it Gordon, and making sure Joe and Isak give him options. Make them double up on him and give us space in the middle.
