But you point was 'if Sven was out for a signifigant legnth of time' not specifically this match

It strenghens our depth IMO.

Schar, Burn, Lascelles at CB and Targett/Hall at LB sounds better to me than:

Schar, Lascelles, Dummet at CB and Burn/Targett at LB.

No idea what your point actually is now unless you somehow dont think Howe has noticed something you have. Despite him playing Burn at CB this season already as he clearly does see him as a CB option.

I came third in one of Yorkies's quizzes once.

I guess none of those questions were on reading comprehension? Important word "mostly" changes the meaning of the statement quite a bit.

My point is we've got Lascelles, Schar, Burn all fit and yet we're still going to have to play Paul Dummett in order to rest players.

If we'd moved Burn into CB to cover for Botman we could have used Targett and Hall at LB (Who don't worry me as much as someone like Dummett) and kept them more fresh.

Bars in Manchester for Newcastle fans?

Got the bairn with me and fancy taking her somewhere full of our lot later on.

Waldorf near Piccadilly is always popular with our lot on train and decent enough. Never drank on the quays for years, but would imagine be a few of our lot in some of the bars around there.

[emoji38] If you just said 'I would play Burn CB over Dummett tonight' instead there wouldnt be any confusion.

Howe also referenced Joelinton being able to play as a striker, so perhaps could also see him in that role at some point tonight. Would be interesting to see him interchanging with AG if mixing things up a bit is needed.

This sounds likely imo. Wouldn't risk Wilson.

He was fine when deputized in that role a couple times last season.

The nice thing is our normal style isolates the striker so much it doesn't really matter who you play there.

There was a game a while back where we had to move Gordon to striker, and then ten minutes later Murphy switched with him, and it was really no impact to how we played lol.

Let's assume Eddie won't change formation for this.

                      Pope

Tino  Lascelles  Dummett   Targett

                  Longstaff

       Willock              Joelinton

Richie                                       Hall

                     Gordon

Would be my guess.

If we are drawing at half time, I'd 100% bring on the big guns second half.

Wilson- Hall

Miggy- Richie

Bruno- Longstaff

Schar- Dummett

30 mins won't harm them much and they could see us through to the next round.

Roughly what I was thinking. Although I suspect if Bruno comes on it may be for Willock who I don't see playing a full 90 on a heavy pitch.
