Seems like the Haaland comparisons are solely down to looks.

More of an attacking midfielder or wide forward? He could be a future option as a left-footer on the RW assuming we stick with a 4-3-3.

Serious knee injuries that slowed his progress from age 14-16, but seems to have taken big steps forward since then.

Got a phenomenal goal and assist record (admittedly for the u18s…)

Video on YouTube about him with the title "The Next Haaland"

Doesn’t look anything like Haaland, so odd how people have to go with “the next”…

So the Kalvin Phillips stories were just a smokescreen whilst we sneakily raided the City academy like a nonce on day release at Kiki’s Cabin

Love it

Des was one of the worst players I’ve seen wear our shirt ?

seem to recall him looking good for Bradford and in his first few appearances. Not in comparison to the players he replaced obviously, but did he not suffer a horrific ankle ligament injury soon after arriving (some things never change eh!), which completely ruined him, rather than him not actually having any talent at all. Probably a shame for the lad as if his career had been ten years later, it probably wouldn’t have affected him so greatly.

Probably it means nothing,  but why would City let him go?

He's out of contract in the summer, probably makes sense to get a few quid for him now rather than lose him for nowt in the summer

Same reason they let Palmer and others go. They are producing so many quality youngsters but have limited opportunites in the first team given how great their first team squad is.

You would think the system would be selling players like Foden for an obscene profit and moving players up but its not just straight forward all the time and if you can keep the best players, why not.

He's not going to become one of the best players in the world, maybe? As we know, a decent transfer fee from your academy translates to quite a bit of leeway in boring land.

Just signed an Argentinian kid in his position which is already pretty crowded with the emergence of Bobb. Pathway blocked, move elsewhere.

Can't believe we've paid £27m for him.
