Think Keegan winning the league 95/96 could have changed everything in English football for a few years. Assumption being Keegan staying for longer, then Robson coming right after.

The Man City owners not going to the meeting to buy us. Or is that a myth?

Wasn’t the rumour that Ashley fucked them off?

Partizan Belgrade

This. More specifically Woodgate’s needless back heal in the strawberry corner leading to the counter attack to the goal that levelled the tie. Not that it’s scarred me to this day… ?

All the biggies mentioned.

Missing out on Jeffers and Zenden and getting Bellamy and Robert instead.

Peter Schmeichel getting those reebok boots as a kid instead of getting into farming business.

Back to back champions whilst he's covered in pig shit would have been sweet.

Ben Arfa not getting his leg broken on his debut

it wouldn’t have led to any success given the team we had but we would have had a full season of peak Ben Arfa highlights :)

Investing more when we qualified for CL instead of just buying Lee Bowyer on a free

ditto after we finished 5th and only bought Anita

Not being tight for some of Graham Carr’s choices, eg Salah, Aubemeyang etc

buying Ronaldo instead of Viana

I think that actually cemented him wanting to stay with us and making the loan permaenent because we treated him well during his injury. He could have been amazing and then seen what happened to Carroll and Hughton and wanted out after the end of his first season

It definitely wasnt HBA's debut for what it's worth

The conversation between Robson and Shepherd in 2003, when Sir Bob proposed that we accept Liverpool's offer for Shearer and use the proceeds to buy Emile Mpenza.

Robson and Shearer were headed on a collision course, but Shepherd had the dream of Shearer taking over as manager, and of course he was the local hero.

We backed the wrong man.

Mpenza turned out to be pretty rubbish though didn't he?

I wasn't around but wasn't there talk that if we'd signed Papin instead of Asprilla we'd have won the league or something?

Yes, I remember that. But he was basically finished after 92/93 and a disaster at Bayern

Stoichkov too according to a Euro 96 report and Stoichkov himself.

David Kelly's goal v Portsmouth is probably the biggest moment, not worth thinking what would have happened without that goal.

Was just gonna say this. What a day (Was in the Scoreboard)
