With no pressure on them anymore - a lot of teams at the top are showing pressure with Man U 2 wins out of 9 and Liverpool dropping points quicker than a Xmas tree in January. I mean we were genuinely dreadful for a good 25 minutes at the start, probably the worst we've been all year but they didn't get near to capitalising on it, moment we put up any sort of resistance they just completely folded. I gave them props early on for how they set about us, knocked the ball around really well too. But we just looked very disjointed and confused, we were barely at the races in the first half. We could have been down 3 or 4 goals to the worst team in the league. Our press was shocking and non existent for 45 min, flat all over, horrible in possession. And sorry, we cannot carry Longstaff anymore - Even when we lead, he is losing the ball, falling over trying to win freekicks, cant pass 2m. Even when winning it was torture. Defence and goalkeeper a proper joke. Very good win in the end and decent results so far with Man U and West Ham only drawing. Andy Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 Not really a massive surprise that the first half was difficult given it was their last stand, but we were rank bad too and gave them something to bite in to. Longstaff and Murphy were rotten in particular. Second half was better, but 5-1 definitely flattered us. When they were linked so strongly prior to us signing him, they were all moaning that he wasn't good enough. As for the media in this country, they're so toxic man.
