SUPERTOON Posted yesterday at 11:25 Share Posted yesterday at 11:25 We weren’t going to replace him regardless of selling him early or late in the window. If they give us an acceptable offer then we should take it imo.
Maggies Posted yesterday at 11:34 Share Posted yesterday at 11:34 I’d sell if offer is around £10m. We have Lascelles coming back and Krafth is fit for emergencies. Just need some luck and players still fit. If we sell and get Champions League (Europa is a minimum) then we’re in a strong place ahead of the summer. ponsaelius Posted yesterday at 11:37 Share Posted yesterday at 11:37 (edited) A decent fee would go along way towards us getting the RCB we actually need far more in the summer. Got to consider it IMO. I guess we've had our fingers burnt with Guehi now but I'm surprised there's been nothing more this January with that. I'd have tried to sign him with allowing him to finish the season at Palace on loan or with an agreed summer transfer. Every window that passes without him signing a contract is a depreciating fee, but the Chalobah/Radi situation means they can't afford to lose any defenders. Feel like there'd be opportunity to exploit that now we're not as urgent in need. Edited yesterday at 11:38 by ponsaelius

NSG Posted yesterday at 13:12 Share Posted yesterday at 13:12 £15m and we’d be daft not to take it tbh. The big clubs take opportunistic sales like this when they come along.

Agree, on a normal weekly wage that's attractive for many buyers, say like 30k pw, factor in age, development, he's easily a 20m player. I feel what makes his position awkward is his agent managed to negotiate a silly weekly wage with us based in him being a free agent, that then becomes off putting to buyers, and drives down the initial fee. Big clubs would eek out 20m if they had their version of Lloyd Kelly - we need to do the same
Stottie Posted yesterday at 17:12 Share Posted yesterday at 17:12 That might have been the shop window, but he's not a left winger. Why was he further forward than Gordon?

Hall wasn't playing well but is at least capable of creating something.

Can you provide any evidence that he’s on a ‘silly’ weekly wage?

Bunk Moreland Posted yesterday at 18:13 Share Posted yesterday at 18:13 https://gianlucadimarzio.com/kelly-juventus-newcastle-calciomercato-news-1-febbraio-2025/ Juventus are close to Lloyd Kelly, Newcastle's central defenderNewcastle. Contacts between the two clubs are now underway, but the player is getting closer and closer. The British demand is a loan with a redemption obligation between 15 and 18 million. janpawel Posted yesterday at 18:20 Share Posted yesterday at 18:20 The cynic in me thinks Howe subbed him on to show that he is still part of our plans to bump up a fee 😂. Considering him at LB rather than Hall makes us far worse going forward while down 2-1 But naa, I'm sure Hall came off as he was all done

AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 18:22 Share Posted yesterday at 18:22 Can’t understand that sub at all. He ended up getting the ball In attacking areas 4 or 5 times where Lewis Hall would’ve been able to play a pass or deliver a cross.
