He’s not very good, will probably not be cheap and was statistically the second worst player in front of goal last season. Options? What options?

Just keep him fit, easier said than done but even from the brief cameo in the last game of the season you can see how dangerous his pace, heading and mobility can be.

He's just not proven to be effective, that's the bottom line. Whatever you think of his potential or the fact he's free etc is one thing, but the main thing for me is filling a slot with someone who's not going to contribute.

Listen. If Eddie wants DCL (no idea if he does) then that's good enough for me. And when we do sign him, then PauloGeordie will put an ultra positive spin on the deal and I'll feel 5x better even more about it.

As strictly a back up striker I think he's a solid option. I can't see us getting a lot better than him as a second choice.
