I read that you guys are looking at the Parma kid Leoni as a replacement for Thiaw?

 

I guess from our point of view it's good to hear he is keen on the Premier League ahead of the Juventus, as that would have been another potential nightmare battle for us

In Italy he did very well with Fiorentina, very bad with Juve... his contract expires in 2026, he has a very high salary but you can get him for 20/25.

Absolutely, he wants the Premier League...and Milan also prefers to sell him abroad.

Thiaw percentages: Newcastle 75%, Milan 20%, Juve 5%.

Most of our centreback are past 30 at this point. We are not only going to need starters in this position in the coming years, but also depth. Thiaw would only be one of several CB signings to come. No problem with it, as we seem to struggle getting the premium we want this summer.
