kingxlnc
Guehi is definitely up for sale. Do you think it’s possible we sign both him and Thiaw?

Maybe we should make a play and force them to spend a large portion of their Isak kitty so it's game over?

I fully trust our scouting that we carefully studied every player we go for - including those who went elsewhere. It's just that lack of DoF to sell the project to the Bruno or Botman type of players. No sales pitch in the world is going to make up the deficit of double the wages the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool can offer, sadly.

Shadow Puppets
As far as I know, the reporting last week about Guehi was true… we did go back in for him. I assume we were turned down sharpish which is why the Thiaw deal has happened quickly.

Don’t think he’d have turned us down outright but I get the feeling he’d string us along until Liverpool or Chelsea come in. We might have got a whiff of that being the case so moved on quickly. Thiaw with more passes surprisingly, and also more accurate with those passes. No suprise he's far better in the air than Schar as well. But can he can he simultaneously stack it and score a worldie from the half way line against PSG? 😂
kingxlnc
It’s a shame if not as Guehi can play both sides as can Thiaw and Botman even. Guehi Botman Thiaw and then Schar and Burn are extremely strong and would sort us out for 3-4 years. Burn can be Halls number two at left back also. Lascelles maybe can go at this point. Burn should never play left back again like. If Hall and Tino weren't available, id rather Tripper went there.
kingxlnc
If Isak is to go, wouldn’t mind the following to pad out the squad Ramsdale Guehi 40m Thiaw Paqueta 40m Gallagher 30m Elanga Wissa Jackson or Ramos or Samu 60m (I don’t mind any young prodigy that Howe can develop as long as high ceiling and world class potential) Overall we’d be much much stronger as a squad than having one extra superstar who doesn’t want to be here. The new or extra players are almost covered by the Isak money. Very doable. I’ve not included those that are already signed or almost signed as it appears we’ve got a budget for those outside of Isak.

I'd say yes but Guehi seems most unlikely given he seems to want Liverpool. But I like the midfield reinforcement in your scenario. We would need the Isak money to fund that I suspect. AyeDubbleYoo
Feels like Guehi might not move this window TBH. Which is weird but maybe palace prefer just to eat the loss and have him for another season.
