I believe that, I imagine we’d need to get rejected by a few before we end up at Thiaw. Surely Van Hecke and Brighton should be at the top of our rejection list.

Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe bid.

Not seen much of this lad but most people who have seem to think he's a bit of a German Titus Bramble. Why does it feel like we have not substantively updated our list of transfer targets in the last few years...

Dunno wtf I'm reading these days tbh. He's not a can of beans on a shelf with a price stuck on him. If the only club at the table is fucking Como then of course the price is 20-odd mill. If a bigger, more prestigious, significantly more wealthy PL club is asking, the price obviously goes up. Or are we saying inflation isn't a thing now?

So Como has a bid accepted for 20 million (roughly) we come in and match that bid you really think it doesn’t get accepted?

Yes.

Nonsense, assuming Thiaw wanted us over Como then we pay the same. We are seeing this played out now with Man Utd paying less for Sesko than we offered due to him wanting to go there. Obviously much bigger fees involved.

How do you even counter this? So all the reports of an accepted Como bid, the player turning it down, then Allegri taking a shine to him and wanting to keep him that all happened before we went for him is nonsense then?
