Will Osula

£10-15m seems a bit expensive at the moment. You'd expect a bit more end product for the amount of time he's had on the pitch.

10-15m is nothing these days...the makems got 15m for Jack Clarke and he was a demonstrable disaster for Ipswich.

20m now is the 4m from 1998....gets you a non scoring striker, a half.competent midfielder, a semi respectable defender or a decentish keeper

It’s what Bournemouth paid for Kluivert jr.  It is what you pay for an informed gamble - which is what Osula was.

He’s a long way off it at present, and the chances are he doesn’t get much better from here.  He desperately needs loaning out to a lower level club - and I’m not convinced that the second division isn’t too high a level at the moment, despite plenty suggesting ‘the Championship’ as a destination.  Give him six months at a third tier club and see if he can score goals and get some confidence.

Loan to Holland.

He's got ability, a season of regularly scoring will do wonders mentally

We could do with losing another striker like.

Based on all the logic thus far. which is what I'm doing, he doesn't look good enough. Based on theories and things behind the scenes and in the future none of us know - he might be.

Same, my impression is that he's just not a striker, he just doesn't have the instincts nor the deftness. As soon as he went out left he looked more comfortable and his attributes became more useful.

Loveable character, but he's a long way to go in a relatively short period of time if he's to make it here.

He’s shite

There’s always the chance of redemption but at the moment he’s looking like the worst signing we’ve made under PIF. Kelly being sold for a hefty fee after joining on a free puts him clear IMO.

He doesn't look like scoring goals or even getting in the right positions to score them, that's the issue. He's a nuisance otherwise, but so many loose aspects to his game. Neave looked more focused when he came on, he was looking for goal.

Youre actually suggesting we will improve a player we got from the championship by sending him on loan to league 1? Wow

I thought he looked better in the middle than on the wing like, have to say.

He struggled to impact the game but we also didn't look like we had a plan to get chances for him. He did manage one nice run and shot which their keeper saved down low.

Wasn't a good performance like, he didn't impact the game much.

Yes, I am - he didn’t exactly pull trees up in the old second division.  Send him to the old division three and see if the lad can smash it out the park.

Watched it on TV. Got zero service from what I recall? Albeit after being bit by a dog and two bottles of wine!

I've never seen it with this kid personally, but still his fee was £10M rising to £15M which I doubt has been achieved. If it doesn't work out a team will take a punt on him. Stansfield went for £21M and he was playing league one last season.

Haven't seen much of pre-season but little things like he'll stand at the edge of the area when the keeper is trying to kick it long, meaning he's sprinting back 40 yards to get back onside. He jumps for aerial balls that you can see he won't win, but gives away a cheap free-kick anyway. Maybe out wide will be better for him as I don't see a good centre-forward in him. Maybe he'll mature and grow out of it.

This guy has such a funny, infectious, larger than life personality that it kinda makes you forget that he's actually not all that good at football!
