Lets be honest before the euros he wasn't a 50 million pound player more like a 30 million player. But because he had a good tournament they're taking the piss pricing him out of a move. Harry should never gave him that sock parish is wanker.

That's nonsense, 30m 🤣

Exactly. Stay calm and revisit in January if need be if no alternatives take our fancy. We’ve four fit CB’s two each side which are no mugs and by all accounts Botman will be back for November & December.

This is the point where the player hands in a transfer request and goes on strike innit?

And gets a move to Liverpool.

Same with kilman that left wolves good defender but overinflated price because he's British. That's why if Gordon did leave I'd want a boat load 150 million plus. Clubs take the piss with there pricing then we should aswell.

How's that like? He never stood out that much Anderson was the one that we all liked.

In what world do you sign a 24 year old England center back for 30m in today's market?

Even before the Euros he was getting games for England.

Asked if he had spoken to Guehi personally, Parish replied: “Marc Guehi is as decent human being and footballer as you could ever possibly hope to meet. We all know the situation, we don’t need to be having discussions about it.

“Marc is absolutely loyal to Crystal Palace. Marc wants to progress his career, of course he does, and if the right opportunity is there and it’s right for us I think it’s something he might be interested in but he’s certainly not putting any pressure on the club whatsoever.”

Chalobah feels like a great option for where we're at and would likely preserve some budget for RW.

Not a bad shout lad he'd be reasonably cheap you'd think with him been banished to the u21s

Why can't they just get on a teams call and sort transfers out.  It was Skype for business in my day but we got it done.

You were an expert in monitoring the situation.

Sure, but that's the market.

It's the English market, don't see any other European clubs clambering for his signature.

We don't need to make it back though, sell at right point and helps PSR surely, or you accept a player can elevate you and make money from being a better team

Yeah we would he's young we could easily look to sell in the future when we have grown as a club. And the price would be nothing close to what we paid. He'd be on crazy money aswell.

If we did bring Guehi in for say 65 million. we'd not make that back I can tell you in the future if we'd looked to sell.

I’d hate it for us if we got a class center half for 10 years but couldn’t resell him for the buying price. Just absolutely gutted. Shouldn’t even do deals if you can’t recoup the full purchase price imo.

For him to come out in the press like this, you'd imagine the third bid fell into what he personally felt was "taking the piss" territory.

Reading between the lines, it seems like they've set a very specific price and we've thought pressure from the player's camp would allow us to haggle them down. It seems like that this isn't the case and they literally just want the specific price.

Club have to act fast and either pay up or walk away.
