League Cup 2nd Round Draw - Nottingham Forest (a)

Recommended Posts

Not only one of the hardest, but one of the most boring cup draws possible. Nothing different, refreshing, interesting.

Wont be much fun either way. No game there ever is.

Can only imagine what any subsequent draws will be.

Real Madrid (a) guaranteed 3rd round draw.

Weird draw. So many of the northern ties were adjacent numbered balls coming out. If you didn't know better, you'd think they just lobbed the balls in quickly after the southern draw and didn't really mix them.

It's a northern/southern draw. Has this always been a thing though?

Edit: Sorry, misread your post.

It was last year. Don't think it's been a thing for long though.

Edit: 2017/2018 appears to be the first year that the second round was regionalised. We still drew Forest and lost at home, 2-3.

So another rule to help the top clubs then. Euro teams enter a round later, and can't meet any of the other top clubs in the county, nice one.

Chelsea and city are suffering from psr rules you bastard. Have some sympathy

By my estimation this was the third possible toughest draw we could've got, out of 26 possible ties. So standard.

What would have been tougher?

50 possible ties, no? If you take into account home and away?

Forest at home (last season notwithstanding) would arguably have been an easier tie than say Leicester or Burnley away.

Shite whichever way you look at it like.

Really fancied Barrow at home. Shite draw.

We came out of the hat next to each other as well, just in separate ties. They got Derby at home. My mate who supports them was pretty pissed off with that too.
