That first day video is great, seems like a really great lad.

Buzzing he plays for Newcastle.

Osula is so mental they left the chairs either side of his empty.

Maybe it's common knowledge but his dad is Joseph Elanga, played for Malmö, Brondby, a couple of Greek teams...and for Cameroon (that's not him in the picture above)

Not sure that welcome video and interview needed more than a few hours to make but hey ho. It’s done now and I’m really excited to see what he brings us.

Tbf they really were really struggling to work around little Sammy's schedule. One more skive and he's facing exclusion.

Looks like he's already popular within the squad already which is very encouraging. Seems like a diamond of a bloke, articulate and ambitious. He'll settle in well over the summer and be ready to go next month, no bedding in needed, straight into the XI please Edward

Love the fact he'll add a bit of balance to the attack now. Last couple of seasons the main pace threat has come from the left via Gordon and defences knew it and wee waiting for it. Now we can get behind and stretch teams on either wing and they can't shuffle across to double up on Gordon if they know the quick ball to Elanga is also now going to kill them too. Can see Gordon getting a bit more space which he'll enjoy, it's an exciting signing and the RW upgrade we've needed for a few years tbh

Coupled with Trafford’s precision pinging up to the space behind for the speed merchants to run into.

I thought it was a bit more nuanced than that; it felt more 'this is the stuff he can do well *right now*, and here's where the data shows he's lacking.  If he were the full package right now it'd be a 100mil purchase. NUFC can't buy at that level, but they think they can make him the full package and elevate them to the 100mil bracket".

Fair, he did say that. I had to watch it through again as I was distracted first time around by work. This is where EH will put the work in to unlock even more of his potential and there's few better coaches anywhere to do it.

That lass that was sat next to him in the car from the airport is the same lass that’s always in the dressing room photos. Some kind of player liaison role? Canny job like.

She seems very good at her job, knowing his likes and settling him without being too look at how great Newcastle is or too sickofant either.

Some really interesting little snippets in that vid. Did anyone catch the bit in the car when Elanga says 'how did you know I like long sleeves' and the lass says something like 'its what we do'?

Certainly hints at the extent to which we go to get the right characters

I like this guy.

He seems to fit perfectly for our “no dickhead policy”. Seeing videos of Forest players being gutted he left, and how some of our lot reacted to him joining seems like lots of people like him in a personal level.

Probably ramped up our intel gathering after we fumbled the bag with Sandro.

And now I know Malmo isn’t pronounced M-A-L-M-O but M-A-L-M-A-Y.

It’s Malmö, so with an ö, not an o.

The ö is pronounced pretty much like ea in heard or earth or learn.

(I’m Swedish)
