He also seems like a person driven to get better so I have no fear and he should be a great addition. Maybe not immediately but he should be good. If he were the full package right now it'd be a 100mil purchase. NUFC can't buy at that level, but they think they can make him the full package and elevate them to the 100mil bracket". Pretty much exactly how I saw it. I always feel like he tries extra hard to be objective when it's a Newcastle player so he often emphasises the negatives more than he usually does. But my take away from the video was exactly as you said, he's got the tools and the club know that, he now just needs to learn to use them in the right way. If there was a mild criticism of the transfer for me, it would be that the lad’s signing possibly shows that Howe isn’t looking to evolve his style of play.
