Any idea what balls we’ll be using?

I think there are some left over anti-Arsenal balls from the League Cup so they may chuck those on.

Waugh said on this weeks Pod on the Tyne, that as soon as the draw was made, this weekend was penciled in to give the first 11 a rest and an extended break, and he wouldn't be surprised if there are only a handful of players that started yesterday even on the bench, with the Under 21's providing most of it backup.

Whilst that’s good in principle, we have to make sure that we take it seriously and don’t end up with another embarrassment.

Vlachodimos (sp?)

Trippier

Schar

Kelly

Targett

Miley

Bruno

Willock

Sanusi

Osula

Barnes

Is what I’d go with. Would like to see Sanusi get some first team minutes and Bruno given only a hour but ultimately don’t think Howe will do that. Think he’ll go with Longstaff in midfield and Almiron at RW; whilst it should be more than enough to get past League 2 opposition at home I do worry about the ability to break a side sat deep down when we have over 75% of the ball which is likely without someone with an eye for pass in the front 6 or can beat their man.

Hoping we demand a medicine ball for the second leg, for Arteta's sake.

Kick THAT into the mixer Declan.

CM I’d play Willock to the left and Miley in the Bruno role with Longstaff in a deeper one. Bruno on the bench, ideally not even coming on until late if necessary. He has played a lot of football along with all the travelling. Not a bad idea with a prolonged rest. He will be climbing the walls and raring to go against Wolves. Let Tonali rest entirely. Bruno and Big Joe on the bench.

Up front i would go with Barnes Osula and Sanusi/Miggy.

I've changed my mind. I think Bruno gets first 45.

Not sure why we would play him this much unless absolutely necessary. We have tons of players that have barely played and need 70+ minutes in their belts. Bruno will definitely not lose any sharpness by not playing.

Calibre of the opposition aside we have 2 more games that week don't we? Got to be mindful of those who have played alot and who has niggles howe simply doesn't divulge.

Could see us doing what we did a few seasons ago strong bench incase we get a scare but very much the B team.

Too early for Kraft to get some mins? Is Targett alive enough to start or not risked as we look to loan or sell him? Schar has had the rest through suspension but then we have 2 games in 3 days.

Could very much be a banana skin game if we take it too lightly.

Eddie has openly said in the past he likes to give players minutes to tick them over, not sure he’ll want Schar and Bruno playing vs Wolves having not played last week or so? Could be wrong, we’ll see.

No way Bruno plays, really no need.  Then again, you could say no need to play big Joe or Tonali - but that would mean youth players coming in.

We cannot afford to not take this seriously - cups success would be amazing, however it comes.  Two would be even better.

Apparently Kraft is mega fit, thats not the issue.  Just waiting for it to heal, so he can take impact.

We have Wolves a few days after where Schar will be starting. Why risk him playing in this?

Will he be starting though?

Burn undroppable at present. Botman clearly our best defender all things being fair and equal (™️Ange).

Personally I think he’ll probably go Schar and Burn, but I don’t think it’s cut and dried.
