Didn't like that comment about the game "shouldn't be referreed by VAR" - err, it's supposed to raise matters missed by the ref. The Isak pen was a foul for me and missed by ref. That's what's VAR is for? Arguably more so than offsides that historically nobody ever would have noticed or minded the goal given as its that tight.

It was completely undermine by how much they were rallying for VAR to get involved and award Liverpool a penalty immediately after we equalised too

Think he was at least as good as Hall. His composure in tight spaces to play the ball out was good though he did get caught out once. Carried the ball forwards though agree he could be more aggressive, still remember that run last seasons against Man U, need more of that.

I don’t think that this game adds anything to any of that debate.  Players self-motivate for games like this.  The Leicester and Ipswich matches will do more to tell us if a corner is turned.
