Checko Posted December 14 Share Posted December 14 Great result and performance. Obviously Leicester were bobbins, but we moved the ball much quicker and with far fewer silly mistakes. There was a real intent and purpose about our play on the ball. Tonali looked classy as hell, Bruno played a couple of lovely through balls and got into dangerous areas a lot. Big Joe tied everything together nicely. Isak missed a couple of chances but got a poacher goal's and did some superb link play. Gordon looked far more threatening, Lewis Hall is class. midds Posted December 14 Share Posted December 14 Excellent performance tbh. Could have had even more but can't be too critical of some of the finishing given we got 4. Started well and kept the pressure on, created plenty of chances and also got the chance to give a few key men a bit of rest before the busy fixtures start. Nice confidence boost for the lads and it'll also do Howe the world of good too. Only real negative was the Joelinton yellow but there's no reason why w can't go to Ipswich win there on the back of this. A really really good day at the office imo, first game in months we've been able to relax as we were comfortable, sure they enjoyed playing with a bit of freedom and zero pressure to get a(nother) goal. Newcastle Fan Posted December 14 Share Posted December 14 Only downside in the the end is that it should've been 6 or 7 rather than 4, even Wimbldeon weren't as shit as the Leicester team. For me it feels like payback for a few years back when we ended up with 9 men and they battered us for the whole second half in sjp, today i was in the same seat in leazes watching us destroy them 2nd half.
