That was a decent performance against a heavily changed Brentford.

Reliant on set pieces still. Need to do better in open play.

Fucking hell. I thought I was negative.

We had plenty of chances from open play where we were a few inches away from a great finish or a well worked goal. Leicester was the same.

We’ve had fuck all from set pieces for ages. I’m glad we’re finally scoring from

them and causing the other team problems.

Ah! Thought that was Osula's goal!

Really good turn of pace, but defender did well with the block.

Think he has the right qualities to make a good striker. Can receive a ball and protect it under pressure and spin away, and has the pace to get in behind. Needs to work on his finishing and decision making

Yeah, you are right that we definitely have upped our chance creation in the last two games.

That is with home advantage against two weak teams.

But we need to start scoring from open play.

Glad someone bothered to reply instead of calling me pathetic.

I'm not going to pile on. There are glass half empty types and you seem to a glass is always completely empty.  Not attacking you, just saying.

Yeah, he'll be fine.

Was surprised at some of the comments after he gave it away for their goal [emoji38]

Think he'll look better with his decisions the more he plays, and more importantly, will calm down.

He is so hyped and eager to get involved and make an impression at the minute.

Not surprised he was out of position. We were still supporting attacks from the full back positions and Osula gave it away in a dangerous area when we had good possession deep in their half.

yeah tbf just watched that back again and I’ve been harsh on him for the goal. It’s all on Osula

He's done that move before and didn't get the finish off. First goal will do wonders for that kid. Isak's not a bad lad to learn from and even he fluffs them on occasion

Played really well without ever really having to get out of 2nd gear.

Dubravka: 7

Hall: 7.5

Burn: 7.5

Schär: 6.5

Livramento: 5.5

Joelinton: 6 Willock: 6.5

Tonali: 9

Bruno: 6

Gordon: 7.5

Isak: 6.5

Murphy: 6 Barnes: 7

Bruno 6 despite his assist? Okay then...

How’s the wine @Rod?

I'm ok honestly.  I just get carried away and sometimes come across as "Victor Meldrew".  My wife calls me Victor sometimes.

My prediction tonight was honestly 3-1 so I know a little bit about football.  This team can beat ANY team on their day (I hope the players are reading this) but they are also a little bit fragile when things are not going so well on the pitch.

I also think Eddie Howe is one of the most forward thinking managers of his time and we will win trophies with him.  Just be patient I say.  Love you all on here ..... apart from ........

Great performance from the lads to day.

There goal I think had pope been playing he'd of been out like a shot on the initial through ball.

We won 3-1.  Let's not decipher what "went wrong".

I don’t think we’ve necessarily solved all of our problems. I’m on record on here saying I have my doubts about Howe turning it around long term.

But that is 7 good halves out of 8 (excluding two massive individual errors at Brentford first half).

We do still have to improve away from

home and I would still worry how we would get back into a game if we go a goal down early.

I’ll enjoy the improved performances, the balance to the team, the 12 goals in 4 games and the fact we’re now a threat from set pieces.

You do you pal. But I can’t imagine what it must be like being so miserable. Try and look for the positives in another semi-final and some decent games and scorelines from us. You might enjoy yourself.

What were you like under Souness/Fat Sam/Pardew/McClaren/most of the last 25-30 years?!

Pope’s biggest fan on here and don’t rate Dubravka. But I’m not sure a prime Neuer was getting to that through ball.

Shit turn over from us and we’re caught square with men up the pitch and out of position.
