It’s nice when we’re just miles better than another team, even after the last couple of years it still takes some getting used to.

And just a worry that we are a couple of Injuries away from, not exactly struggling, but being way off what we can be.

It's coming though.......its coming !

Nice. Guess I know what I'm watching. Thanks! 😄

I'll record it and watch at half time of the Pittsburgh/Ratbirds NFL game.......and no doubt watch it several times again as my Steelers get beat.

If you are behind the goal line, it’s classed as being on the goal line. He was partly on the goal line, and so was the defender.

Yeah, both have one foot inside the goal so Burn can never be offside there. The goal should have been allowed.

Missed this today but was delighted when I snuck out to get signal and saw it was 3 nil at half time, put me in a great mood.

Watched it since and these are my takes. Although everything else is different, I noticed shades of 21/22 about our midfield. Bruno is just a very good footballer in general, but you really get quality over quantity when he plays further forward. I thought he was fantastic today and Tonali was too, playing the 100x better 24/25 version of Shelvey.

Willock just needs game time, but so long as he does he'll be a massive asset again, you can see it.

Isak brilliant again, I'm sort of lost for words a bit tbh.

Gordon is close to looking amazing again and it's nigh on all down to finishing at the moment.

Murphy is sort of the opposite, not necessarily a player that looks amazing but is really effective.

For posterity:

Dubravka 7

Livramento 7

Schär 7

Burn 7

Hall 7

Bruno 9

Tonali 8.5

Willock 6.5

Murphy 9

Isak 10

Gordon 6.5

why was BDB's goal disallowed.

he was on the goal line with the defender.

past that and you're off the pitch and cant draw lines.

or is it to do with the keeper's position.

If you are past the pitch, you are classed as being on the line.

1 defender looked to be on the line with him, and the keepers arse looked to also be on the line. It should have been allowed.

That's the best I've seen us play all season. I guess it was only Ipswich, but many players are now raising their game just in time for a run of key games.

Few things from watching MotD: Isak's terrible one on one miss led to his finish for the second goal. On the miss, he tried to give the keeper the eyes, shape to shoot to the far post and then dink it over where the keeper was. Keeper didnt' fall for it. On the second goal, the keeper guessed Isak would do the same again and duly sat down on the spot

That's the best I've seen Gordon all season. He was moving the ball much faster than at any point this season.

Schar looked cooked a few weeks ago, including his general play with the ball. He was absolutely on it yesterday. The ball to Murphy for the first goal needs far more visability that it has recieved. It was incredible.

On a day where yet another team has shot themselves in the foot for playing sill possession football to beat the opponent press, we have battered them by playing simple long balls from the back into space.

Tonali wins the ball so frequently in the middle third and then springs counter-attacks. That's a weapon in itself.

Finally, Dubravka did what was expected well. Not much to do. But there was a good rush out save in the first half. And his use of the ball with his feet is on another level to Pope. Naturally, I still worry that he'll fold when we eventually face a team that puts us under pressure with crosses and through-balls, but he is doing much better than I'd expected so far.

Beautiful raking pass. It's mad that teams still don't press him.

Good to see the players be right up for it against a lower positioned team.

Been a big criticism that we only turn up for the "big" teams, but all the players seemed up for it from the kick off.

Hopefully we can bring the same intensity going forward, as beating the teams below you can be the difference between a great and average season.
