A win against Newcastle at home isn't something to be gloating about either mind.

We have various issues at the minute and that isn't going to change with three points at home against a wee club in the North East.

When a crap team beats a good team then it's only normal for their fans to gloat

That was a nice try. You should buy a keepnet.

Looking at the teams Froggy was suggesting, particularly Antony as a RWB vs Hall and Gordon I think we could actually win 10-0

Those wins against Leicester (18th), Ipswich (19th) and 10 man Villa really got your confidence up didn't they James.

I guess we could add a win against Man United (14th) to that list, wouldnt look to much different

Just Stuck 50 on man u at 7/4

All the over confidence of the fans will get chucked back into our faces as usual

These have been shite by their standards for years. Yet they've still won trophies. Managed to take the piss out of us at Wembley on the pitch and in the stands, then just last season pip us for Europe and take the piss again.

All this bluster I've seen on twitter has done my head in. Just shut the fuck up and say nowt we've won once in the league there in about 40 years

:ructions:

Man Utd are absolutely shit but this morning I would begrudgingly accept a point because I'd expect them to be well up for the fixture and a defeat would potentially burst the 'corner turned' balloon. Really looking forward to it.

It is not often I go into these matches feeling confident but we are in great form.  We can hammer these with the chances we are creating.

I’d imagine you’d have more confidence with those results, than a loss to Wolves (19th), loss to Bournemouth, loss to Spurs, and a month ago a draw to Ipswich.

That's my secret Stiffy. I'm never confident.

The only thing which would burst the 'corner turned' balloon would be if we took our eye off the ball and gifted early goals like we did following our previous decent run against Liverpool and Arsenal.

No one can guarantee results, but if we play with the same shape and intensity of the last few games we'll get at least a point.

I’m not sure they’re capable of being well up for a game TBH. I imagine their manager and players know and care basically nothing about Newcastle.

I get the fear like, there’s just no logical reason we shouldn’t be strong favourites. The players just have to stick to this new attitude to winnable games.

If I was them I would play with all their fastest runners in wide positions and up front and just hope to nick the first goal on the counter. That’s their best hope I think, although it would be relying on some very out of form and unproven players.

I think they’ll put on a performance. The suspensions and poor form will give them a kick up the arse. Casemiro and Erikson are experienced players. They may also ditch the 343 due to the suspensions.

They are still beatable though, but it’s a game I expect needs to be won, it won’t be a late Christmas present of 3 points

Going to this, on way to Newcastle now to get the supporters bus and I'm really nervous like. I really hope we don't hoy in our typical Old Trafford performance.

Play like we know we can and we win though.
