Manchester United 0-2 Newcastle United (30/12/24)

I like Amorim I think he's a good coach. Was really good in an honest interview post match. The problem he's got is he simply hasn't the players to play the formation he seems welded to. Amorim knew this and was originally insistent that he wanted to wait until the end of the season. Several of those players are hiding and several others are just not good enough. Amad ,Mainoo, and Hjolund are the only ones I'd definitely keep. All three tried to make it work today. Also if you're relying on Ratcliffe and Brailsford to back you up and get you the support infrastructure you need you're onto a loser.

The squad itself is dire. You've got the not good enough but ageing honest pros like Maguire and Erikson. Then you've got whatevers going on with Rashford and Sancho, the absolute madness of the hugely priced Antony signing and the what the fuck have they bought them for in Zirkee, Casemiro and Onana.

That was incredible in its own way. 20-30 years ago, imagine thinking that's how a match at Old Trafford would go. It was always scary as fuck going there. Tonight we decided to put in 30 amazing minutes and then just fuck right off and put it in cruise control - and that absolute rabble in red couldn't even put up a decent fight. We were in complete control more or less from start to finish, maybe save 5-10 minutes.

We are looking smooth and tidy. Very expressive. Tonali is such a great player to have to maintain match control. His emergence has opened the door for all of this imo.

And Manchester United...they looked like the worst team in the division. They aren't far off.

Good honest craic from you.  I also thought Amorim was very complimentary.  His comments were fair and truthful.

I was agreeing with everything you said until I came to the last paragraph.  Man Utd are definitely not one of the worst teams in the league.  Newcastle United on the other hand made Man United look like a relegation team (which they are not).  The Toon are a lot better than many people think.  A LOT better.

Can @Newcastle Fan please extend his stay in England?

Just came back to from the game expecting someone to post this  delighted that i managed to attend 5 wins out of 5!  only way i could attend today was going with a friend of mine who's their supporter which meant i was sitting with their fans, couldn't celebrate any of ours but it was hilarious being in the middle of the meltdown in the first half hour when we were all over them.

Will feel shit if we lose to Tottenham now on Saturday.

No Eddie interview and now I’m watching a fat 12 year old playing darts, what even is Sky Sports.

Sky sports is not allowed to show football coverage if one of the '6' loses....wish I was being ironic there

That first half was men against boys. We should’ve been 4 or 5 nil up really. And it was basically all down to their midfield selection. Boobery that should be a sackable offence from Amorim.

I thought we basically controlled the game from 1-0 up and it was only a couple of individual moments of idiocy that almost cost us.
