Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Newcastle United (04/01/25)

It’s not totally inaccurate about Joelinton. His physicality is part of his game, and he is hot headed - something smarter opponents will take advantage of. However he’s not ‘dirty’ in the sense that he goes and commits professional fouls or does reducers on players to hurt them, he’s miles from a Keane type player.

Its pretty inaccurate. He's a physical player but not a Clattermole leg breaker. If other teams didn't fill their teams with weaklings it wouldn't be such an issue.

"These really are a bunch of fucking shit houses, I hope we break a couple of their legs here"

"Most well coached teams play this way though. We may not like it but if you don’t use the dark arts then u put yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a case of if you can’t beat them then join them"

It's worse than a standard "the decision was wrong and completely changed the game".

The vague phrasing seems very much intended to hint at there being some sort of malice at work and that Spurs have been the victim of some sort of foul play, but the refusal to say what exactly he's talking about means he can't really get in trouble for it.

I think the implication of “fair and balanced” is clear enough that it would be entirely reasonable to charge him.  His carry on is really pathetic, I’d hate it if I was a Tottenham fan.

Rattled to babyishness as though that was a big game for them and something like he believes that's the end of any chance of Europe and the repurcussions in terms of job security that may have.

Despite the conniving of Levy.

Seems fair. A bit of time wasting and gamesmanship so you want to see legs broken.

I agree he's not a Keane/Cattermole kind of player but he is very reckless in alot of his challenges and he does tread a fine line most games.

Sorry if posted, this is his BBC post match... see what MOTD say about it tonight.

Postecoglou repeats same answer six times

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou repeatedly tells BBC Sport that Spurs would have beaten Newcastle "if all things were equal" following a 2-1 home defeat by the Magpies.

:uglystupid2:

If all things were equal it'd have been a draw...

It wasn't, cause they're shite.

Postecoglou broke mentally after the Liverpool game, he’s toast and it’s only a matter of time until they get rid of him.

Spurs fans will properly turn if they get battered again by them in the League Cup

"How dare Newcastle challenge us"

Spurs and Man United? Not even on the radar now. We have Forest and Bournemouth to worry about again.

”mind boggling” that goal stood.

Are yee thick

99% of "controversial" decisions like this come down to people not knowing the rules.

That idiot Matterface asked Howe about the goal on talkshite and even he said something like "I don't know the rules to be honest" 😅

"Never seen such unadulterated support for a manager than I have for Ange.

He's the poorest manager we've employed since Gross based on results. Yet every defeat is due to context and never down to him.

Lowest points return in 20 years but Ange is elite cause he says mate"
