Gallowgate Toon Posted Tuesday at 23:18 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:18 Their prick of a manager should be embarrassed that he's reduced a very talented, expensively-assembled squad to effectively play like a rugby team. Also, I've never judged Declan Rice to be anything more than a good player. It's absolutely farcical squad management that he cost more than Tonali + Guimaraes combined (and then some) imo. Doctor Zaius Posted Tuesday at 23:24 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:24 Thought Arsenal were worse tonight than Spurs were on Saturday. Particularly in the second half. We were brilliant but it's one of those that could have went either way. Havertz and Martinelli both should have scored and they missed chances from headers. Hey-ho, that's the way it goes. I'd have been alright with a 1-0 loss tonight. 2-0 is dreamland.

Jonas Posted Tuesday at 23:28 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:28 Would have been very happy with 2-0 from a home leg, would have taken 0-0. That's just fantastic though. Might even have been confident about the tie as a whole if we'd pulled off one of them near one on one situations at the end.

They way they go on, every player the manager, the set piece nonce that thinks it's OK to walk 30 outside of the technical area to give free kick instructions. Such a shitbag of club Yep never thought I’d hate a club more than Liverpool, but Arsenal have done it.

Beren Posted Tuesday at 23:36 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:36 I don't have a problem in saying Newcastle are a nasty team in the same way Arsenal are - and the way that any team in 2024 has to be, in order not to be soft, or to get pushed around. The primary difference is the very sincere pearl-clutching reaction they have to being on the receiving end of what is usually a milder dosage of their own medicine. I actually still like Saka and a few other Arsenal players, but Arteta is utterly rotten.

GeordieToon Posted Tuesday at 23:43 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:43 Yes Arteta was correct it was a problem with the ball. the problem was it went in the Arsenal goal twice. And not in our goal.

Jonas Posted Tuesday at 23:44 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:44 (edited) Long shots and half-chances from scrambles from your brutalist set plays is the antethesis of being creative. Joe Kinner was doing that on a budget 30years ago. Sounds from the Spurs and Arsenal fans like Flange and Arteta are under increasing pressure and not impressing people that watch them regularly - can only presume this is why they've been prize arseholes this week. Erikse Posted Tuesday at 23:45 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:45 We've really hit the nail on the head with transfer this season, with Hall and Tonali coming in through the summer window, and then Botman this january.
