I actually fear some of their B team if they decide to rotate from Tuesday.

Solely because they are unknown quantities.

That Nico, Rodri replacement I'm sure is probably going to be decent, the two Cb's they bought might improve them, despite that lad we wanted to sign having a ropey first 5 mins on his debut.

No idea why Doku doesn't play anymore, has he been injured? He's 10x more threatening than Grealish and tore us to shreds a year or two ago I can remember with runs through the middle.

If they don't want him can we have him?

As always for us, the main equaliser is Isak. If we can get him the service he can score against anyone.

Told him yesterday, he’s buzzing for the road trip and his first away game.

Doku's been injured recently.

Brilliant when he first arrived and on a few occasions since.

More commonly been described as "playing football like a dog driving a car."

I still find Man City a hard club to dislike, even with all their trophies (probably because it clearly fucks off their less pleasant red neighbours).

Always felt like a naturally 'big club' with a working class support base who'd been shat on for decades by incompetent owners.

I want us to win, obviously - but whenever these have won trophies it has been met by a shrug by me - which is as close as I'll ever get to be congratulatory to another club winning things.

Two of my kids are Citee supporters (born in Manchester, one in a house formally owned by a Man City manager—before they were on mega bucks mind). I have taken them to games and have a soft spot for the team, but I’ll tell you this, my Aussie pal, I would love it, love it! If we beat them.

Gonzalez limped off in the FA cup and isn’t really a Rodri replacement by all

accounts. Doku has been ineffective this season along with everyone bar Haaland.

of course it could all magically come together for them but there’s nothing to fear.

Usually get the bus down to man city but getting train on Sat - any recommendations for any pubs between Victoria and the Etihad?

Best bet is Northern Quarter / Stephenson Sq.

There are plenty of great places around there.
Marble Arch
Bay Horse
Crown & Kettle (about 5 mins up the road from Victoria)

Port Street Beer House

Mackie Mayor (like an upmarket food hall-style place).

From there, you can likely walk to one of a couple of Metrolink stops - New Islington is probably best.

Tip for the Metro link. Don't get off at the Etihad. Get on an Ashton tram and get off at Velopark if you can. Only about 2 mins walk from the away end entrance. Because of all the construction work at the Etihad at the moment, if you get off at Etihad, you'll have to walk for a while to get to the South Stand entrance.

Man city practically evens with the bookies

Must be about 20 years since they've been that long to beat us at home

To be fair I remember them being the same price for the home game last season after we had just humped Villa 5-1. We didn't lay a glove on them that day either .

Ooft really? Surprised at that like. They were just off the back of a treble and still flying. Thought they'd have been at least 1/2

Yeah I only remember because I thought it was a brilliant price but couldn't bring myself to back against us .

I almost hope we don’t win for your kids’ sake - they’ll end up being traumatised by their dad’s celebrations!  [emoji38]

No idea what to expect from this game. I'm sure their fans are a lot more pessimistic than usual, but they still have a lot of players who can hurt us if we turn up at 70%.

Got a feeling it will be a score draw, which is not bad. Would be expecting a bit much to go down there and win, they are still ahead of us in the table despite the shocking season they've had.
