The way the table is shaping up is starting to look pretty bleak ...

Really not sure we make any kind of European competition, never mind the Champions League.

CL or bust for me (I know we will qualify through League cup should we win it.

Of course it's about that.

All I've seen all day long is stupid score predictions, 0-3 etc away to a side we never beat away, I don't think it's arrogance, it's just getting carried away and believing we're somehow going to win because Man City are slightly out of form, you know a side that just won four titles back to back.

Didnt expect a win, but didnt expect us to not put up a fight either. Shocking flat all over.

This result shouldn't really matter too much in the wider context of our season, but given the performance and total inability to even slightly compete today against a patchy City side I can see why there's a lot of us pissed off.

If we miss out on Europe via the league it's not today that'll have done it but some of the home defeats to the likes of Brighton, West Ham, Fulham etc that have done it.

Tino and Miley on

Howe has been let down massively by Willock and Trippier today.

Absolutely disgraceful really.

Have to look at moving them on this summer.

I don’t give a shit about the result, this is all about our completely unacceptable performance.

Agreed. Bit of a portent for how we'll set up/approach Liverpool too tbf.

Matters a lot no? Europe via the league is our best bet.

I don't fancy us against Liverpool at all.

This is a different City team to the ones from those games, though. In previous seasons they were borderline invincible, this time we're just playing like they are.

I agree, but at the same time we've also been miles better in the last 3 years and these records do weigh heavy imo. Great teams have them too.

I think it's more the effort levels that people are annoyed with today than anything related to ability, to be honest. We are clearly going through the motions. No pressure on the ball, no intensity, no aggression.

Those three things have given this city team issues time and time again this season.

Absolutely, that's the case, but equally, there's a lot out there with their heads up there arse when it comes to our real level.

So annoyed. Probably the worst Man City side we will face away, and we’ve turned up and again gifted goals. Yet again this season, we’ve lost, and lost comfortably from us being proper shit and not the opposition needing to bring their A game.

Not going to get Europe via league with this. UCL we can forget about for now.

Thought after Birmingham, Willock would have had a proper go today, but been anonymous.

Needs to go in the summer.
