We had managed to better Chelsea's and were one off Bournemouth after that first half.

Forest are interesting team, have grinding out results and over performed imho — still a well built side with a dynamic front 3 and a strong core in midfield and defense (excl crisp packet Sels). Wood has been a revelation for them though.

Forest aren't in a false position but they play in what I'd say is a very unsustainable way that relies on countering, playing the percentages and a heap of luck. Think us 11/12, Man United 20/21. I really don't see them as a team that's here to upset the apple cart longer term.

Murillo and Aina too, though we bullied the latter in that first half.

Not sure what to make of that. Could have scored 7, could’ve chucked 2 points away, Murphy’s passing was truly abysmal and he’d have missed his goal if he’d been 5 yards further out. We were almost collectively too passive and sloppy in the 2nd half.

 

Just pleased we won, I was a little disappointed in Forest tbh.

I know the basis of most of what you’re saying is all spot on mate but pump the breaks a bit brother, we won. 3 points is fine, despite it not being the GD we all hoped. Mentally the team will be able to separate the good from the bad. Eddie will know what we need to focus on this week and in the coming weeks. We’ve been constantly trying to fix our game management under Eddie and it’s a work in progress.

Can we fucking stop playing uphill in the second half please? Whose bright idea is it this season we do that? Look at our league games and look at our Carabao Cup games. We are fucking spent in the second half and we're playing uphill in the league yet have been better on our road to the final.
