TheBrownBottle Posted Thursday at 19:44 Share Posted Thursday at 19:44 Seems harsh, but it’s only because the lad is starting out. He’s a D at the moment, though he clearly has a lot of potential.
Cf Posted yesterday at 05:54 Share Posted yesterday at 05:54 Lewis Miley is the last of our player rankings and scores a solid C. But we ain't done quite yet! We will finish with the one and only Eddie Howe. In terms of the grades themselves they translate nicely enough to management: A - World Class B - One of the best but not quite at the elite level C - Have a word with yourself D - Forum ban E - Lifetime forum ban for you and any relations
GideonShandy Posted yesterday at 06:05 Share Posted yesterday at 06:05 A for Eddie. And I think if we went back and rated our players again now that they're League Cup Champions, most of them would move up a grade.

Zero Posted yesterday at 06:17 Share Posted yesterday at 06:17 A- to B+. I think he is still on the way up.
Geogaddi Posted yesterday at 06:29 Share Posted yesterday at 06:29 A for me , would have had him a B before Sunday but winning us a trophy after everything else he has achieved with us has proven he belongs with the very best.
Kaizero Posted yesterday at 06:32 Share Posted yesterday at 06:32 Would've had him at a B ranking before the League Cup win. That said, it's kinda impossible to not go with an A at this point
Sibierski Posted yesterday at 07:10 Share Posted yesterday at 07:10 A- Don’t set up your tactics like you did in this final (and show you learned from last final) without being a top manager. Think being a coach that can play different ways in game is what stops him from the elite, but if we give him better players and more depth, there’s no reason he can’t show that. Kid Icarus Posted yesterday at 07:12 Share Posted yesterday at 07:12 (edited) I'm convinced he's an A and just needs time and some more signings to prove that to anyone who doesn't already believe it. Edited yesterday at 10:51 by Kid Icarus
gbandit Posted yesterday at 07:15 Share Posted yesterday at 07:15 Howe is an A. When he hangs it up he’ll be a consensus A from the footballing world. For now, he’s our A
La Parka Posted yesterday at 07:18 Share Posted yesterday at 07:18 (edited) I don t think I can give him less than an A. Man management - A Tactical - B [though the final showed he's a genius at times] Media - A Player development - A Wholesomeness - A Domestic player bias - A Edited yesterday at 07:19 by La Parka

Yorkie Posted yesterday at 07:33 Share Posted yesterday at 07:33 He isn't perfect but he's demonstrated time and again that he's one of the very best around. Can't wait to see where we go from here under him.
Thumbheed Posted yesterday at 07:51 Share Posted yesterday at 07:51 He's an A and I've thought it for a long time now. Said it before, but to me, one of the hallmarks of an elite manager, outside the metric of pure results, is the effect they have on top players. The very good managers are able get players punching above their weight, the top tier managers are able to make already very good players, elite and he's done exactly that with the likes of Tonali, Bruno and to some degree Isak. The one question mark against his name would be his ability to manage egos, which is where the likes of Ancelotti, Pep and Klopp excel, outside of that I see no reason why he couldn't manage one of the elites. Abacus Posted yesterday at 07:53 Share Posted yesterday at 07:53 He's a class act. What a ride we've had with him. Despite having no first team strengthening these last few windows, we've finally won something and now we have a genuine shot at the champions league AGAIN. It's not just the results it's the man management, the player development and how he carries himself in representing the club. Only one score for him. Cf
Eddie Howe quite rightly scores an A leaving us with grades of: A Howe Isak A- Tonali Guimaraes B+ Burn B Botman Gordon Hall C+ Joelinton C Barnes Livramento Miley C- Trippier Schar Pope D+ Dubravka Murphy Willock D Targett Krafth Longstaff D- Osula E+ Lascelle E Wilson Thank you all for taking part. The purpose of the exercise was to gain overall consensus on quantifying where our squad is at. My takeaway is that we have a good, albeit somewhat inbalanced, spine to the team but the drop off when it comes to strength in depth is quite noticeable. Something I think we mostly all would have agreed on before hand but nice to see it Scientifically Proven. Still not sure about Burn at B+ mind

David Edgar
Burn B+
gbandit
Livra should make the step to consistent B next season. Burn will drop a bit from those lofty heights next season. Got to hope that Osula climbs and I think Miley will be in consensus B territory soon. Joelinton would get himself in the Bs if he can produce at 90% of the cup final quality most games
