Big industries have gone, local areas have been left to rot by successive cunts in suits. Yet the civic pride and togetherness is still there. You have radgies with their pants tucked in to their socks, standing and singing side by side to posh boys from Gosforth. At heart Geordies are kind caring people who want to help others. It's just a shame there are so many people, from outside and within the area that look to divide us. I feel the players do get it, they interact with people everyday and will have seen first hand how wonderful the people of the region are. That's what makes all of this extra special that we have a group of players and staff who get it. They're fucking class, but not massive twats. Can't wait to see what this success brings on and off the pitch. #united This. 100%.
Ketsbaia Posted Sunday at 01:51 Share Posted Sunday at 01:51 I'm only up to page 46 because there's so many photos/videos to go through on me phone. BUT..... that was a fucking phenomenal day, man. One until the deathbed. Gone to town so many times over these decades but don't think I'll ever see it in the same way again after today. Getting emotional just typing about it. The fans, players, staff, media guys, Wor Flags, people behind the bars, police, entertainers.... all absolutely superb, so proud of this place. So much love. This. I think we all had an idea of what town would be like when we finally won a trophy. Yesterday exceeded it. Greatest place in the known universe lads. And we live here. STRUT Posted Sunday at 07:21 Share Posted Sunday at 07:21 By and large a reasonably decent day yesterday. Only marred by the fact that Sela didn’t deliver our new stadium under a fleet of Chinooks and drop it onto Leazes Park. An opportunity missed IMO. bobbydazzla Posted Sunday at 07:31 Share Posted Sunday at 07:31 Teenager stood next to me on the parade route said to his pal “imagine what it’ll be like if we win the league” I tapped him the shoulder, leant in and whispered in his ear “it’s when, not if, bonny lad” At least I think that’s what I said, but I’d had 7 cowies, 11 cans of Budweiser, a huff off a glue bag and sucked down a creamy tac bucket, so I might be mistaken

Lush Vlad Posted Sunday at 08:16 Share Posted Sunday at 08:16 Has Henry Winter always liked us? I always thought his articles were a bit anti-NUFC. But I’m sure in more recent times he has seemed sweet on us. Just heard him on Talksport there with Custis, who despite being an NUFC fan, I’m not a fan of. Winter was very complimentary, positive and thoughtful with his comments.

Coffee_Johnny Posted Sunday at 08:20 Share Posted Sunday at 08:20 (edited) From pre parade walk on the beach in Tynemouth, packed Metro in at 2pm, biting wind, to taking over 2 hours to get back to Tynemouth, momentous day. So glad I headed ‘home’ for it and that my kids got to be part of it all. Edited Sunday at 08:20 by Coffee_Johnny
