Newcastle United 4-1 Manchester United - 13/04/2025

Still getting over the feeling that this kind of result against current Man U isn't surprising or unexpected. Thoroughly deserved, outside a glimmer of hope with a decent counter attack they've got nothing for us.

What a 90 minutes of association football. We played some lovely stuff in that second half, and blew them away. Tino was a joke, and love that Barnes got a couple, he's deserved that for his performances since coming into the side. All the goals where sexy as all hell too. Mad-Dogs Mags

As for Man United, in the first half I actually thought there where some positive signs for them, mainly defensively, going into next season, but by fuck where they dire in the second. That Dorgu was proper shit, that Amass was 10x better then him, and every other player felt sorry for themselves. They where pathetic.

I do have this weird feeling, where winning 4-1, and doing the double over Man United, doesn't feel like an event, and just like a normal bog standard win, but I guess that is what we should expect now against lower mid-table teams :iamatwat:

Some of our best performances under Howe have been at home to this mob, always upping our game and really going for it. Today weirdly is probably the most competent I've seen Man United during this time, and the most casual I've seen us, yet it resulted in the biggest winning margin. So easy in the end and we didn't really get out of 2nd gear.

Pope: 7

Trippier: 7

Schär: 7

Burn: 7

Livramento: 8.5

Tonali: 8

Joelinton: 7.5

Bruno: 7

Murphy: 8

Isak: 7

Barnes: 8.5

I'd switch Pope and Tripps ratings.

Barnes - Isak - Murphy just screams efficiency.

They were all you could hear for the last 20 minutes so that's fairly embarrassing if there were barely any of them.

Probably the Chester-le-Street Reds tbf. The ones that didn't need to leave early to catch trains to London and flights to Dublin
